In episode 59, Caroline interviews Rob Moore, Head of Investigations at Token Recovery Limited. If you went into a post office with a sawn-off shotgun and stole a few thousand pounds, you would be arrested. However, if you steal data from a criminal who has hacked into your computer and threatens to steal your data and dump it on the dark web if you don't pay a ransom of millions in cryptocurrency, the police do not want to know. The criminals then launder the cryptocurrency on the dark web and enjoy its proceeds. It is hardly surprising that criminals are making big money from computer hacking. This is now a danger to us personally and professionally, and we need to be on our guard.
