  • When Home Hurts | Eden Church NJ | 09.27.2026 | Malia Cobb
    Sep 28 2026

Have you ever grieved someone and felt guilty at the same time — like the sadness and the regret were too tangled up to sort out? Or wondered why life just keeps moving when part of your world has stopped?

Nothing in life is certain except death and taxes — but there's a third certainty just as unavoidable: loss. Whether you're walking through it right now or haven't been touched by it yet, grief finds every one of us eventually.

In this message, Malia opens up the story of King David in one of the most raw, unfiltered moments of his life — public grief, private regret, and a leadership crisis that forced him to face loss in front of everyone he was supposed to be strong for. It's an ancient story that still hits close to home for anyone who's mourned someone complicated, felt guilt tangled up with sadness, or wondered how life is supposed to keep moving when part of your world just stopped.

If you've ever needed permission to grieve honestly — or wondered where God actually is in the middle of loss — this one's worth your time.

  • Vision Recast: The Eden Eight | Pastor Brandon Cobb | 09/13/26 | Eden Church NJ
    Sep 14 2026

What does it actually mean to be a "gate for the city"?

Most of us build gates the wrong way — as barriers instead of blessings. This week at Eden Church, we're asking a different question: what if your everyday rhythms — how you show up, who you invite, how you serve — were the very thing determining whether your community experiences hope or gets shut out of it?

This message unpacks what it looks like to live with your eyes fixed on something bigger than a nice life for yourself — and why impact, not entertainment, is the whole point.

If you've ever wondered how faith, community impact, and everyday obedience actually connect — this one's for you.

Eden Church is a growing Christian community in Hackensack, NJ, focused on youth engagement and economic mobility across Bergen County and the greater Garden State. Join us for Sunday service, Bible-based teaching, and a church built for real community impact — not just a Sunday concert.

    Sep 7 2026

Do you ever find yourself questioning if you truly measure up to God's expectations? In this message, Pastor Brandon Cobb dives into the heart of what it means to be a child of God, exploring why our relationship with Him is built on grace rather than a recurring performance review. If you feel stuck in a cycle of perfectionism or are wrestling with the weight of religious expectations, this conversation offers a refreshing perspective on finding peace and belonging in Christ.

  • The Recipe 👨🏾‍🍳 | Galatians 2:11–14 | Pastor Brandon Cobb | 08.30.2026 | Eden Church NJ
    Aug 31 2026

What happens when you believe the right gospel but your life starts communicating something completely different? In Galatians 2:11–14, Paul confronts Peter—not because Peter had abandoned the gospel in his theology, but because his actions were beginning to preach a different message. His prejudice, people-pleasing, and law-keeping were shaping the culture around him, and the people following him were learning from what he did more than what he said.

This passage forces us to ask a deeper question about Christian leadership, legalism, prejudice, and the gospel of Jesus: Does what we believe actually move the way we live? Sometimes legalism isn't the result of knowing too much, but of knowing just enough to misunderstand God's Word. And when our hands don't follow what our heads say we believe, people can end up seeing a distorted picture of Jesus. In this message, The Recipe from Galatians 2:11–14, we’ll look at how the gospel reshapes not only our beliefs, but our behavior, our relationships, and the way we lead others.

  • Building Unity: Can You Receive Grace? | Pastor Tanner Green | 08/23/26 | Eden Church NJ
    Aug 24 2026

Galatians 2:6–10 gives us a picture of what it looks like when the gospel creates a unified church—not a church where everyone looks, thinks, or serves the same way, but a church where everyone receives grace, recognizes God’s calling, and cares for one another. Pastor Tanner Green explores Paul’s “right hand of fellowship” and what it means to build unity in the church through the grace of Jesus.

How do you receive grace? What are your gifts, passions, and sense of calling? And how are you caring for the people God has placed around you? This message from Galatians challenges us to recognize that we may not all have the same assignment, but everyone has a part to play in God’s mission. Ultimately, unity grows when we receive grace through the cross, recognize the Spirit’s presence and calling in ourselves and others, and care for everyone made in God’s image.
