God created us for good works. Good works is the sacrificial acts of serving others in Jesus name. Serving is not the SAME for everyone, but it is EXPECTED of everyone.

Of all the parables Jesus told, the Good Samaritan is one of the most famous… but what if the real challenge starts before the story? A lawyer asks, “Who is my neighbor?” Not to learn — but to justify himself. And if we’re honest… we’ve all got a little lawyer in us. We want the answer that makes us feel good. Jesus gives the answer that transforms us. If we’re going to love like Jesus, it begins with surrendering our need to justify ourselves and growing in compassion for all people.

We label everything. Successful. Difficult. Outsider. Leader. We see the outside… and assume we know the inside. But Jesus never reduced people to categories. He saw past the label and met the person. We’re continuing Love Like Jesus—and discovering what it looks like to love people the way He does. It might just change the way you see everyone.
