On Sept. 3, Langston University swore in the Student Government Association's three elected officers for the 2026-27 school year. Chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation Dr. Desmond Delk returned to Langston University this semester after spending several months in Mongolia with the U.S. Fulbright Program. Dr. Delk joins us to talk about his experience in Mongolia and why more LU students and faculty should apply for the Fulbright Program.

On Sept. 11, the Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents approved an administrative realignment for Langston University's executive-level leadership. Langston University is roaring back to life as summer winds down and students return to campus! During the last week of July, LU held its annual Lion Camp to help our freshmen transition into life at LU. This year's Student Ambassador Chair, Brooke Blakely, will tell us all about the fun ways our newest Lions are being welcomed into the Pride.

For many upperclassmen, this summer was an opportunity to delve deeper into their research interests. Hear from senior plant systems and research sutainability major Tremar Ivey as he shares his experience spending the summer on campus conducting research.

Finally, the Langston University Marching Pride Band is gearing up for another busy fall. Band Director Mark Gordon joins us to talk about what’s in store for the Marching Pride this year.
