  • #007 How Active Listening is Connected to Weight Loss
    Jul 22 2024

My friends, thank you for tuning in...

In today's episode, I talk about the Art of Motivational Listening and how it can help you to be encouraging and supportive to your partner, children, friends, colleagues or anyone for that matter. And once you've developed those skills using the framework I talk about, you can actually apply it to yourself, when you're on your own, and don't have anyone to lean on. And as an emotional eater, this is a brilliant tool you can use to help you talk yourself through an unwanted thought or story that is giving you the urge to eat without any control. This episode demonstrates how to apply active or motivational listening skills by providing that support or encouragement to others in a real-life scenario, whilst also showing the connection to how you can use this as a tool to manage your emotional eating as it incorporates self-awareness and mindfulness, empathy and understanding, patience and focus.

  • #006 What Emotional Eating Triggers Look Like in Real Life
    Jul 16 2024

My friends, thank you for tuning in...

In today's episode, I talk about emotional eating triggers and how there's a misconception around how it happens and I want to uncover what's really happening and what it looks like. They're not isolated events but a series of events that lead to a tipping point. It takes doing a lot of work on yourself by going back to childhood memories and scenarios that you think you've forgotten. But by confronting them, it helps you understand the root causes of your behaviours and emotions so you can acknowledge and work through them to reduce all that internal conflict that's happening, improve your emotional health, and enhance your relationships.

So, without further ado, let's do this...

    Jul 2 2024

My friends, thank you for tuning in...

In today's episode, I talk to Belinda, an Australian born in New Zealand, is a true testament to the spirit of adventure, channeling her energy into conquering trails across the globe. A beckon of inspiration for women over 50, her blog encourages the joy of hiking as a celebration of the golden years. Belinda's transformation from a sedentary lifestyle began with a simple pair of hiking boots and has evolved into a journey of unforgettable treks and wild camping, despite a quirky fear of possums and birds. Hopeful, daring, and deeply connected to nature, Belinda's story is not just about fitness or travel.
