    Brandon Cory is a 15-year fire service veteran, currently assigned to Engine 54 in Marquette City Fire Department. Cory is RIT Under Fire certified, authored a chapter in the book "30 Fire You Must Know", is VP of Great Lakes HOT, and is a member of the Marquette County RIT team.

    He joins us today to tell the story of the rescue efforts and lessons learned from the fire on March 13, 2020 that claimed the life of Captain Ben Lauren.

    Terrance Tate worked for the Wilmington DE Fire Department for 17 years. He joins us on the podcast to speak about the house fire that occurred on September 24, 2016 that claimed the lives of 3 Firefighters. His crew was tasked with rescuing a firefighter after a collapse & MAYDAY. A secondary collapse also trapped his partner, Jerry Fickes, with Terrance narrowly escaping. He'll tell his story of the incident, the lessons that he believes we should learn from the incident, and his road to recovery after.

    There will (hopefully) be a Part 2 to this episode, with another member of the WFD telling his side of the story. Stay tuned for that.

    Josh Burchick is a 22 year veteran of the fire service. He is currently a Captain with Howard County MD Department of Fire and Rescue. He is a fire service instructor and specializes in the IAFF’s Fire Ground Survival Program and has spoken at numerous conferences. He is also a peer fitness trainer and CrossFit coach. Josh is also the host of the podcasts and social medias of "Forged & Unbroken" and "In-Extremis readiness".

    In this episode Josh will discuss the events of July 23, 2018 at a fire on Woodscape Drive that claimed the life of Lt Nathan Flynn. Josh was a member of the RIT team and has many lessons to share from the operations.
