On 4/20,  Christine interviewed Matt  Brogan, hemp farmer and Director of Operations for Brown Shamrock Farms in Lafayette, Indiana.  He is a second-generation row crop farmer of corn and soybeans in the midwest and has been farming hemp for about 3 years. Matt oversees operations of the company's hemp farms in Colorado and Indiana. Their CBD company is creating products that are used in medical facilities all over the US.

Reuben hid his illness from colleagues, clients, and friends for as long as he could. Everything pretty much came to a head one morning when he realized he was fearful of choking if he tried to eat! Myasthenia Gravis is debilitating, to say the least.
The condition of Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune disease that is caused by a breakdown in communication between nerves and muscles.  Symptoms include weakness in the arm and leg muscles, double vision, and difficulties with speech and chewing.  Many people with this disease are so burdened with the symptoms that depression sets in and they lose hope. Thanks to Reuben's willingness to open up, and our audience sharing this episode, we may be able to give others with this condition a glimmer of hope. Believe it or not, cannabis has helped Reuben stay in good health physically and as you'll hear, he couldn't be more positive about a bright future!
