• Episode 15 - Learning from failure and finding Fable - with Michael Fox
    Nov 16 2020

On this episode of None Of My Business, I'm joined by Michael Fox. Michael has experienced the highs and lows of building an international business and attracting investors from around the world. Shoes of Prey was set to change the world of manufacturing leading the charge in customised fashion. When this vision couldn't be realised the company had to be closed and Michael shares with me some of the scars of that process.

He has since gone on to be the co-founder of Fable Food Co which is a business that aims to address the issues with how we produce and consume meat products.

In this episode of None Of My Business we discuss:

    1. Early career experience through internships.
    2. Working in retail and tech at Super Cheap Auto and Google.
    3. Where the idea for Shoes of Prey came from.
    4. Taking on VC investment.
    5. Finding the ability to start another business.
    6. Alternative meat products and the future of food.

None Of My Business is an Australian podcast hosted by Michael Jackett. With the aim of having more meaningful conversations, this podcast invites guests onto the show to curiously dig through their current and past experiences as employees, managers or business owners to understand what they have learnt along the way and how that knowledge is guiding them today.

Sometimes these conversations are strictly business, but ideally, they go further than that and we get to know a bit more about who our guests are and what they bring personally to these businesses.
