• Talking Growth: Advice on life when you're growing up from a transitional life coach
    Sep 30 2025

Disclaimer: This will be our last episode for a while. I'm sorry, I knowww. Don't worry though! We're not gone forever but a break is for sure needed.

What a last episode to have though! I loved this conversation with Coach Ed Bradley, the co-founder of Powerful Minds Counseling, a Transitional Life Coach, motivational speaker, and educational consultant based in Gulfport, Mississippi.

He brings such dow to earth wisdom, understanding and honesty to this discussion and to your life! This is for you if you are going through a lot of self doubt, feeling lost, unsure of your path, are just generally growing up or are the parent of someone growing up.

Quote of the day: “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X

Thank you for listening and I will see you soon!

  • Talking Society: Activism, Media, and the Fight for Change with Abbie Wolfe
    Sep 16 2025

What does it truly mean to be an 'activist'? From stigma and stereotypes to the role of media and community, our society today is as complex as it is misleading.

Today we're sitting down with Abbie Wolfe (they/them) a Manchester-based queer rights activist and community organiser, and the Secretary of Trans Mutual Aid Manchester.

We will be unpacking the realities of activism, the trans movement, the media and what should actually be our core focus.

Quote of the day: "We are beginning to understand that the world is always being made fresh and never finished." - Grace Lee Boggs

  • Talking Growth: A talk about friendships, relationships and the lot with two weirdos
    Sep 2 2025

Kyla is back everyone! One of my closest friends has decided to visit me in the glorious UK and we of course had to get together for a podcast chat. I won't lie to you... we did struggle to find a quote and we veer off track sometimes but it's a fun chaotic convo where we unveil personal opinions and details about our lives and relationships (friendships, partners, all the 'ships')

Come join Kyla and I for this little hour and see if you totally agree or disagree.

  • Talking Society: Deconstructing the ‘Tradwife’ phenomenon
    Aug 12 2025

The rise of the “tradwife” — women who embrace a hyper-traditional, domestic lifestyle as wives and mothers. From soft-focus homemaking aesthetics to overt political messaging, the tradwife movement sparks heated debates about feminism, free will, and gender roles. Is the "tradwife' trend really harmless?

We explore the tension between “choice feminism” and the deeper political, racial, and cultural ideologies that often underpin these choices. Together, we’ll look at how nostalgia for a so-called “simpler time” can conceal systems of patriarchy, white supremacy, and the policing of women’s bodies. Whether you see tradwives as harmless lifestyle bloggers or active players in a wider political movement, this episode will challenge you to think critically about the meaning behind the choices we make — and who those choices serve.

Quote of the week: “Not all tradwives are white nationalist fascists, but some are. And unless we address that fact, every time we talk about ‘traditional’ lifestyles, family structures, or marriage dynamics, then we are complicit…We must continuously ask: what “tradition”; what “purpose”; whose “tradition”; whose “purpose”?” - Devin Procter

  • Talking Climate: Why are there so many youth activists? A chat with activist Stephania Añazco
    Aug 5 2025

Young people have been shaking up the political world recently. They've not held back on advocating for what's right. Whether that be in climate change or social justice. However, they're still more or less kids. Why has there been such a stark increase in the number of youth activists? Particularly in the climate space.

Today, we are sitting down with Stephania Añazco a youth climate leader from Ecuador, dedicated to empowering coastal communities and advancing inclusive climate and ocean solutions.

Quote of the day: "Be the change you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi

  • Talking Climate: Sustainability on a broke budget
    Jul 29 2025

We know that our planet is under siege with climate change and we know that we all need to be more sustainable. However, has anyone noticed how expensive it is to be sustainable?? Sustainable brands, electric cars, they're all more expensive than the more harmful alternatives. So, is there any affordable way to be more eco-friendly??
