    In this episode, I’m joined by Nasim Badaghi — a mindfulness teacher who recently submitted her PhD.
    We talk about mindfulness beyond the buzzword: where it actually comes from, what it really means, and what it doesn’t mean.

    She shares insights from her PhD research on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and its impact on psychological distress in cancer patients. We speak about rumination, the “automatic pilot,” and what happens in the brain when we begin to practice awareness differently.

    But this episode isn’t just academic.
    We explore the personal side of mindfulness — how it changes the way we relate to our thoughts, and why mindfulness can feel almost rebellious in a world that constantly pushes productivity.

    We also speak about the nuances — that mindfulness is powerful, but not necessarily for everyone. Especially for people with trauma, it requires care, pacing, and sometimes guidance.

    This conversation is an invitation to slow down. To observe. To become aware of your inner patterns — not to fix them immediately, but simply to see them.
    Because sometimes awareness alone is enough.

Rather than escaping the present, the journey then turns back toward your current life, helping you notice where these qualities already exist and how they can expand from there.

    This session is not about positive thinking or bypassing reality. It is about nervous-system-level integration: allowing insight, desire, and embodiment to meet, and gently bridging vision with lived experience.

    I introduce Human Design and how it can be used as a practical, body-based system for self-awareness and decision-making.

    At the beginning, I briefly respond to a question about original frequency that came up.

    I explain what HD is, what it’s useful for, and how you can work with it even if you’re completely new to it. I walk through the most relevant elements: your energy type, strategy, inner authority, and profile, and how these aspects can support you in understanding your energy, nervous system, and the way you’re designed to move through life.

    This episode is not about memorizing concepts or becoming an expert. It’s about using HD as a tool — with awareness and discernment — to observe yourself more honestly and make decisions that are more aligned with your energy.

    Human Design can be a helpful framework for personal growth when you stay connected to your own inner truth and responsibility, rather than outsourcing authority to a system.
