• Liposuction in Atlanta GA | The Atlantic Center For Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery
    Oct 28 2025

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that can address excess body fat. It involves the removal of fat cells that build up in pockets and remain resistant to diet and exercise. With this procedure, you can achieve a slim and contoured figure that aligns with the work that you have put in to lose weight.

Diet and exercise-resistant fat cells in the body can be highly difficult to burn off. Even if you keep a diligent routine, excess fat can stubbornly remain in key areas like the abdomen, chest, buttocks, back, upper arms, thighs, and calves. This can keep people who have put in the work to lose weight from achieving the body of their dreams. Receiving a liposuction procedure from a plastic surgeon can combat this issue directly, providing a slimmer, more toned, and better-contoured body you can be proud of.

At Atlantic Center for Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, we offer a variety of different liposuction techniques that can be customized to fit the unique needs of each patient. A typical liposuction procedure involves the injection of tumescent fluid into the targeted fat pockets prior to the surgery. This fluid is a mixture of saline, lidocaine a local anesthetic, and epinephrine a medication that contracts blood vessels. This makes it easier for Dr. Davoudi to remove the fat cells, reduces blood loss, and provides anesthesia during and after surgery. It also makes the liposuction process less intensive for the patient’s body and can reduce recovery time.

Once the tumescent fluid has taken effect, Dr. Davoudi makes small incisions in the skin near the pockets of fat. Through these incisions, he inserts a narrow tube called a cannula to break up the fat and remove it using suction. He can remove precise amounts of fat cells from particular parts of the treatment area to provide natural-looking contours that accentuate your figure.

Candidates for liposuction are men and women who have persistent fatty pockets but who are otherwise in good health. It is not a weight loss solution, and you should be close to your target weight before considering the surgery. You should also have healthy and elastic skin, otherwise you may need to receive an additional body contouring procedure to remove resultant excess and sagging skin. Having a positive attitude and realistic expectations will help us bring you the best care we can. Individuals with certain medical conditions may not be suitable for liposuction surgery. To determine your eligibility, we will discuss this and other topics at your consultation.

Recovery from liposuction may require one to two weeks of downtime, depending on the amount of fat that we remove. We will give you compression garments to wear around your treatment area to minimize swelling. You will also be taking prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection as you heal. It is normal to experience some initial discomfort, swelling, and temporary numbness during this period of healing.

A New Approach to Facial Balancing

Facial balancing is an advanced approach to facial aesthetics that focuses on achieving harmony and proportion across the face. It’s a concept that perfectly describes what we’ve been practicing at Blue Water Spa for over twenty years—creating subtle, natural enhancements that make the face appear more youthful, refreshed, and beautifully balanced.

True facial balancing requires a careful, methodical assessment of the face as a whole. Unfortunately, many people mistake it for overfilling. In reality, when facial balancing is performed by a skilled aesthetic professional, the results should be seamless and undetectable—patients simply look like the best version of themselves.

The process begins with an analysis of the entire face, followed by an evaluation of how the upper (forehead and eyes), middle (cheeks and midface), and lower (mouth, chin, and jawline) sections align in proportion and harmony. For example, a midface that appears flat compared to the brows or jawline can be enhanced with carefully placed filler to restore balance and create natural facial symmetry.

Facial balancing also considers harmony within each facial region. Subtle hollowness in the temples or brow–upper eyelid junction can make otherwise youthful eyes appear tired or aged. Restoring gentle volume to these areas rejuvenates the eyes in a way that feels both subtle and transformative.

Similarly, a thin upper lip may seem out of balance with a fuller lower lip. A conservative enhancement using filler and a neuromodulator—such as Botox® or Dysport®—can restore proportion and definition. While others may not notice any specific treatment, they will perceive a more youthful, attractive, and harmonious facial appearance.

Both genetics and aging play a role in diminishing facial balance. A naturally small chin, for example, can make the lower face appear recessed. Strategic filler placement can enhance chin and jawline projection, allowing the lower third of the face to complement the midface and eyes.

Some treatments focus on restoring a more youthful expression—softening forehead lines or lifting the corners of the mouth by treating the depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles. When performed with precision and artistry, these enhancements can make the face look happier and more relaxed. However, overcorrection or poor technique can lead to unnatural or “frozen” results, underscoring the importance of experience and skill.

Aging affects facial balance through both volume changes and loss of skin tone. The upper cheek fat pads tend to deflate over time, while the lower pads may become heavier or more pronounced. Mild to moderate cases can often be corrected non-surgically with injectable treatments by a skilled nurse injector, whereas advanced changes may require surgical intervention for optimal results.

At Blue Water Spa, facial balancing may be achieved through either non-surgical treatments in our medical spa or surgical procedures in the operating room. Our aesthetic experts will guide you through what can be accomplished with injectables and complementary treatments—and when a surgical option, such as a chin implant, may provide the most balanced and long-lasting result.

  • Tummy Tuck Surgery in Atlanta
    Oct 21 2025

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that both tightens stomach muscles and removes excess skin and fat from the abdominal region. Tummy tuck surgery is considered a major body contouring surgery. As such, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. R. Morgan Davoudi performs the tummy tuck procedure in outpatient surgery centers attached to hospitals, for your ultimate safety.

The abdomen can undergo significant changes due to factors like pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or aging. These changes can result in excess skin, weakened abdominal muscles, and stubborn fat deposits that may not respond to diet and exercise. Abdominoplasty is a surgical body enhancement procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen while tightening the underlying muscles. Through meticulous techniques tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy, Dr. Davoudi can help achieve a firmer, more toned midsection and improve overall body proportion.

During the tummy tuck procedure, an incision is strategically placed along the lower abdomen to allow for the removal of excess skin and fat. The abdominal muscles are then tightened to create a flatter, more sculpted abdominal profile.

Diastasis Recti, commonly known as abdominal separation, is a condition that affects the rectus abdominis muscles, causing them to stretch and separate. Up to 95% of women experience this condition in late pregnancy and up to 68% experience it postpartum. This separation can lead to a postpartum belly bulge, core muscle weakness, and even abdominal wall hernias if left untreated. Dr. Davoudi specializes in diastasis recti repair as part of the tummy tuck procedure, offering patients a holistic approach to restoring core strength and abdominal aesthetics.

    Types of Tummy Tuck

    Complete Tummy Tuck

In a complete tummy tuck surgery, Dr. Davoudi makes an incision from hip bone to hip bone along the lower pubic area so the resulting scar is hidden by bathing suits or undergarments. He then lifts the loose skin off the abdominal wall, then tightens the underlying rectus muscles, which give the abdomen strength. He pulls the skin down and removes excess skin. Dr. Davoudi disconnects the umbilicus or “belly button” from the abdomen, reconstructs it, and reattaches it after removing loose skin.

    Mini Tummy Tuck

A partial or mini tummy tuck abdominoplasty is a skin-only tuck and is also an option for patients who want a less extensive procedure. No muscle plication is performed with these options. During mini abdominoplasty, Dr. Davoudi makes an incision that generally spans only the width of the pubic area and is similar to the incision associated with Cesarean delivery.

The best candidates for an abdominoplasty procedure are healthy people who have stubborn fatty pockets -fat deposits in the abdominal area that they would like eliminated to help change their appearance. A tummy tuck is not appropriate for people with serious health conditions or overweight or obese people who want to lose weight. Abdominoplasty is not a weight-loss surgery, so patients should have a BMI of 30 or below, as the risk of blood clots increases for those with a higher BMI. Regarding pregnancy, women should no longer be considering additional pregnancies following a tummy tuck because they may need a second procedure to achieve the same result

Dr. Davoudi devotes a considerable amount of time to patient education and communication to ensure that his patients are fully info

  • Non-Surgical Neck Lift in Anchorage
    Oct 13 2025

Tighten and Rejuvenate Your Neck Without Surgery

The neck is often one of the first areas to show visible signs of aging, yet it frequently gets overlooked in skincare routines and aesthetic treatments. Sagging skin, horizontal lines, and the dreaded "turkey neck" can add years to your appearance, even when your face looks youthful and refreshed. Fortunately, modern aesthetic medicine has evolved to offer effective solutions that don't require going under the knife. Non-surgical neck lift treatments have revolutionized the way we approach neck rejuvenation, providing impressive results without the risks, scars, or extended recovery time associated with traditional surgery.

What Is a Non-Surgical Neck Lift?

A non-surgical neck lift encompasses a range of minimally invasive treatments designed to tighten, smooth, and rejuvenate the neck area without surgical intervention. Unlike traditional neck lift surgery, which involves incisions, tissue repositioning, and general anesthesia, non-surgical approaches use advanced technologies and injectable treatments to address common concerns such as loose skin, vertical neck bands, horizontal wrinkles, and submental fullness.. a double chin.

These cosmetic neck treatments work through various mechanisms—stimulating collagen production, relaxing overactive muscles, reducing fat deposits, or providing structural support to sagging tissues. The result is a more defined jawline, smoother neck contour, and overall more youthful appearance. Non-surgical neck tightening has become increasingly popular among patients who want to address aging concerns but aren't ready for or don't require the dramatic intervention of surgery.

The beauty of non-surgical neck rejuvenation lies in its versatility. Treatments can be customized to address specific concerns, combined for enhanced results, and adjusted over time as your needs evolve. Whether you're dealing with early signs of aging or seeking maintenance after previous treatments, there's likely a non-surgical option that can help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Benefits of a Non-Surgical Neck Lift - Neck Rejuvenation

The advantages of choosing a non-surgical approach to neck rejuvenation extend far beyond simply avoiding the operating room. These neck lift benefits make non-invasive treatments an attractive option for many patients seeking improvement without major lifestyle disruption.

Minimal Downtime: One of the most significant advantages is the ability to return to normal activities quickly. Most non-surgical neck lift procedures require little to no downtime, with patients often returning to work the same day or within 24-48 hours. This makes these treatments ideal for busy professionals and those who cannot afford extended recovery periods.

No Surgical Scars: Unlike surgical neck lifts that require incisions around the ears and under the chin, non-surgical treatments leave no visible scars. Injectables require only tiny needle marks that disappear within hours, while energy-based treatments may cause temporary redness but no permanent marks.

Lower Risk Profile: Non-surgical procedures carry significantly fewer risks than surgery. There's no need for general anesthesia, no risk of surgical complications, and side effects are typically mild and temporary—usually limited to swelling, redness, or minor bruising.

  • Am I Going To Bruise After Rhinoplasty Surgery
    Oct 13 2025

Am I Going To Bruise After Rhinoplasty Surgery

Hi, this is Dr. Shvidler from The Seattle Facial Plastic Surgery Center. Today I'm going to answer one of the most frequently asked questions. Am I going to bruise a lot after a rhinoplasty and what kind of things can I do to reduce the chance of bleeding and bruising after surgery? Well, first of all it is important that you have optimal health before you endeavor in rhinoplasty surgery. Got to make sure your blood pressure is under good control and that you're not taking any supplements or medications that thin your blood. So, make sure you stop taking aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, any herbal supplements, and aspirin. Second, you can take some supplements before surgery to include arnica montana or bromelain as well as vitamin K to reduce your chances of bleeding and bruising after surgery. Third, we give you a medication called tranexemic acid during the surgery both intravenously and with an injection and some vasoactive substances like epinephrine to also vasoconstrict the vessels and reduce the bleeding. Trinexamic has acid has been shown to reduce postoperative bleeding and bruising and it's very safe to use in surgery without significantly increased risk of thrombomolic events such as stroke. There's been multiple studies that showed its effectiveness and minimal risk. Afterwards you can also take supplements such as arnica montana as well as bromelain which is a extract from pineapple that also have been shown to reduce bruising and swelling. So if you follow those guidelines your chance of bruising and bleeding is pretty minimal. So, I would say half of our patients bruise a little bit and some of our patients don't have any bruising at all as evidenced in our Instagram rhinoplasty reveal videos. Hope this helps

I was hoping she was seeing what I was seeing and that our projections were align and I am seriously ESTATIC with her, the staff AND my AWESOME results! I felt very uneasy about that because I didn’t know what I would look like with the sizes I had contemplated, I didn’t know WHAT the sizes were that I was contemplating or if they would fit adequately in my frame. My visit with Dr. Farahmand was informative, and warm. I tried on sizers multiple times on different days and I a

Laser Hair Removal - Raleigh NC

Laser hair removal treatments are often performed in facilities where there is not a physician onsite and or with limited to no physician oversite. Laser hair removal solutions are serious devices and when used incorrectly, they can damage the skin. Some lasers are simply ineffective. But, in some facilities low priced, ineffective lasers are used and / or laser technicians are not well-trained.

At Blue Water Plastic Surgery Partners we have been performing laser hair removal treatments since 2002. Each laser hair removal room is equipped with 2 lasers. One laser is ideal for light skin tones. The other is most effective and safest for dark skin tones.

At Blue Water Plastic Surgery Partners, clients have the option of purchasing a package of laser hair removal services. But most people prefer to pay as you go. This way, clients get what they need, and they aren’t paying for more than what is needed. We have performed hundreds of thousands of treatments in our 17 years. Not because people are locked into a contract – but because they are happy with their services and elect to come back. We offer laser hair removal pricing online and over the phone. We require a consultation with a nursing professional to be sure you are a good candidate for laser treatment prior to a service. But the consultations are informative and pressure free. There are really just two kinds of centers: those that are part of a medical practice and those that are operated by non-physicians. In our Raleigh laser medical practice, the highest priority is delivering safe and effective medical care. In a business operated by lay people, the highest priority is generating revenue. So ask yourself, do you prefer to have your laser services performed where physician-supervised professionals provide your treatments, and where the physician is immediately available to you if and when needed? If the answer is yes, have your laser services performed at a physician owned and operated laser center.

Pay as you go treatments or priced per session treatments are available. We can also provide packages and financing if that is your preference. Either way, the cost is transparent and always clear before starting a session. We will work with you to find bundle areas in a way that is most affordable depending on the areas you’d like to treat.

What if laser hair removal treatment doesn’t work for me?

Almost everyone responds well to laser hair removal, provided your hair has a dark root. People with very, very fine peach fuzz – like hair with a dark root can take longer as the fine root doesn’t hold the laser energy as effectively as hair with a thicker root. Also, people with hormonal issues may need more treatments than others. These issues are almost always a concern with hair on the face. We counsel people about this prior to laser services. You will see improvements with each treatment, but more treatments than usual may be needed. At Blue Water Spa, our laser techs have the training and expertise to know when to use a combination of lasers and / or potentially multiple settings. We’ve seen people frustrated after a franchise that advertises a guarantee can’t eliminate their hair. We have made so many of these people happy and hair free, and for a fraction of the price they paid for a package elsewhere.

Can Laser Hair Removal Work on Blonde Hair?

Sometimes, yes. Many blondes have enough pigmentation in the root of the hair to make laser hair removal effective for blonde hair. Unfortunately,
