• S3:EP2The Parachute You Never Packed — Overcoming Pride Pt. 2
    Apr 18 2026

Pride feels like flying — until you realize you never had a parachute. In Part 2 of this series, Ian Velasco dives into Proverbs 18 to expose how pride quietly turns us into fools who would rather talk than listen, react than respond, and refuse help rather than admit weakness. Through raw personal stories and scripture, this episode reveals why depending on God is not weakness — it's the only real strength we have. If you've ever let your ego cost you something you couldn't get back, this one will hit home.

Nobody sat me down and gave me these. I had to learn them the hard way. You don't have to.

Ian gets straight to it — no fluff, no filters. This episode is a direct conversation with the version of you that's still figuring things out. Whether you're 15 or 22, these 5 lessons will cut through the noise and give you something real to hold onto.

    01

Social media is fake. Touch real grass.

The algorithm is not your mirror. Stop measuring your life against a highlight reel and start living in the room you're actually in.

    02

    Stop rushing relationships.

Desperation and love look the same when you're young. Ian breaks down the difference — and why slowing down is the boldest move you can make.

    03

What you love ≠ what you're good at.

Passion is a starting point, not a guarantee. Learn to separate what you love from what you're actually built for — and find where those two things meet.

    04

    Fall in love with learning.

Not grades. Not a degree. Learning. The people who stay curious are the ones who stay dangerous — in the best way possible.

    05

God is the foundation behind all of it.

Purpose isn't something you grind your way into. It's given. Ian shares why faith isn't the last resort — it's the starting point that makes everything else make sense.

This is the episode Ian would send back in time to himself. Now he's sending it to you. Hit play. Share it with someone who needs it. And if it lands — leave a review and let him know.

    Feb 12 2026

Jesus loves you so much. I have been quite busy these past few moments in my life. Particularly in the gym, in the road training and running, studying a Pyschology course online, reading a lot, school, my community, being in a band in church and rehearsing with my keyboards to worship. It is still an honor that God gave me a lot of strength mentally and physically to fit this episode. Because I know that 18 minutes is short compared to the 16 hours of things I do in a day. We need to find a space to fit what's best-- God's Word
