• Own It

Some weeks Gabriel writes to help you. This week, he needed to hear it himself. This one is a confession. Gabriel had to own three different areas of his life in a single week — missing multiple game-winning shots and letting his teammates down, coming home harsh and imposing his will on his wife and boys, and letting a customer slip through the cracks at work. Three places he could have blamed the circumstances. Three places he chose to own it instead. The doctrine: You cannot improve what you refuse to own. Ownership isn't punishment — ownership is permission. The moment you blame someone else, you hand them the power to fix your life, and they probably never will. Why naming your failure out loud builds a stop sign at the fork in the road. Why owning it is only half the work — you have to build the guardrail so you never own that same mistake twice. And the two questions to sit with before the day is over: What am I blaming that I actually need to own? And what guardrail can I put in place today? We don't protect our pride. We protect our growth. We don't drift. We decide.

  • Identity Gets the First Word
    Jul 13 2026

Last week Gabriel shared that identity gets the final word. This week he discovered it gets the first word too. What started as a simple project — translating a keynote into Spanish — turned into something much bigger: a full excavation of the foundation underneath the entire ProActivators movement. The translation wasn't the work. The rebuild was. The breakthrough: the Six Pillars don't create the person. They strengthen the person you've already decided to become. Identity comes first. The process protects it. Drift → No More → the Shift → the ProActivator identity → the Six Pillars → alignment → a thriving life. Plus: the Audi keynote that revealed Gabriel was showing people a wall instead of a door, why you have to earn the room before you challenge it, and why sometimes progress means strengthening the foundation instead of laying another brick. Foundation. Foundation. Foundation. We don't drift. We decide.

  • Your Identity Decides Your Reaction
    Jun 29 2026

As June wraps, Gabriel reflects on a hard month — saying goodbye to the family dog Camila, the AC out for three days, the kitchen sink leak, ongoing comp conversations at work, and the things underneath all of that he wasn't going to put on the podcast. But he's sitting here at the end of it — and he's at peace. This episode is about the lesson that made that possible: identity determines reaction. A ProActivator doesn't wait for life to get easier. A ProActivator responds differently — because that's who they have decided to become. Why most people indulge in the problem. Why ProActivators don't rent space there. The truth about the line "don't let anything bother you" — and what it actually means. How to be proactive in protecting your joy. And why faithful sowing is never wasted. We don't drift. We decide. We don't scatter. We anchor. We don't surrender. We respond.

  • The Weight You Didn't Choose
    Jun 22 2026

This week tested Gabriel. The AC was out for three days. The kitchen sink sprung a leak. The compensation conversations at work are still unresolved. He had to read his own newsletter from last week — more than once. But this episode is not about the AC. Or the sink. Or the comp. This episode is about a question that came to Gabriel under a heavy barbell: At the gym, you choose the weight. In life, life chooses for you. So how much can a ProActivator carry before the foundation gives way? The answer came from a barbell, from the Three Little Pigs, and from every ordinary morning Gabriel spent laying bricks when nobody was watching. Storms don't build foundations. Storms expose them. The house you build in the calm is the house you live in when the wolf shows up at the door. We don't drift. We decide. We don't scatter. We anchor. We don't trust the doubt. We trust the training.

  • Pain Is Inevitable. Panic Is Optional.
    Jun 15 2026

This week was hard. Several things at once. A storm season — both the kind that comes with grief, and the kind that comes with financial pressure. After fifteen years, the Golindano family said goodbye to their dog, Camila. The same week, work brought real changes to compensation. The same week, life asked more of a husband and father than felt fair. And through all of it — Gabriel found peace. This episode unpacks the doctrine that made that possible. People around you borrow your emotional temperature. Leadership is acknowledging reality without surrendering your peace to it. Storms are temporary — character is permanent. Adversity does not build character. Adversity reveals it. Pain is inevitable. Panic is optional. We don't drift. We decide.

  • Call Your Shot
    Jun 8 2026

Last Sunday morning, Gabriel stood in the kitchen before walking out the door. He looked at Maydi, Enzo, and Liam and said something he had no business saying — "Today I'm bringing home a championship trophy. And I'm going to hit the game-winning shot." He didn't know it would happen. He just decided it would, and then he spoke it out loud. Hours later, he hit the game-winner. This is the doctrine for the week — and it's sharper than just "decide." A decision lives in your head; a declaration lives in the air. A decision can be reversed in silence; a declaration has to be reversed in public. That's exactly why it works. In this episode Gabriel calls three more shots: the ProActivators Executive Mindset Workshop on Saturday July 18th, the ProActivators app as the operating system for the movement, and a challenge to every listener — whatever you've been deciding in silence, say it out loud. We don't drift. We decide. And then we declare it. And then we go win the shot.

  • One Decision at a Time
    Jun 1 2026

A few months ago, Gabriel had a decision to make — pick a date for the book launch, or keep waiting. He was scared. He didn't know how many would show up. So he picked May 3rd. Everything changed the moment the date was on the calendar. Not because the date was magic — because the date forced movement. Now he's facing the next decision: the ProActivators Executive Mindset Workshop. Same fear. Same doubts. Same answer. The Summit waits until 2027 — the Workshop happens this year. This Memorial Day weekend, Gabriel and his sons completed Murph for the second year in a row. Three generations aren't built in a day. They're built one decision at a time. The fear isn't the signal to stop. The fear is the signal that you're growing. We don't drift. We decide.

  • The Pretender, The Producer, The Proactive - Which One Are You?
    May 25 2026

Last year I told a leader on my team something that surprised him: "You're not a proactive person. You're a productive person." There's a massive difference — and this week, sitting in the massage chair after training, the third character finally clicked.

The Pretender does just enough to get by — and gets away with it for years. The Producer carries the load and produces the golden eggs, but lives reactive, always putting out fires. The Proactive thinks ahead, works on purpose, and always carries an umbrella before the storm.

In this episode I break down all three across the six pillars, and the moment that turns proactive living into identity: the "No More" decision. The one thing you already know is holding you back. The dark room you've been avoiding — and the champion waiting inside it.

Broken but fixable. That's all of us. Let's go get him.

🎟️ The ProActivators Executive Mindset Workshop is coming — the Pretender/Producer/Proactive framework and a live "No More" session will be at the center of it.
