The only problem was the fundamental basis on which they were built. NFT’s were supposed to be non-replicable, one of a kind digital assets that were positioned as the next step in the art world. When companies got involved, the NFT’s began to take shape as a marketing opportunity offering a utility for those who owned the token. Using the selling tactics of Fear of Loss and Greed, we see why the world went absolutely insane for these digital pictures - with exclusive NFT clubs and Bored Apes being worth millions - for a short period of time.
