Therapy and conversations about mental health are heavily stigmatized, which is only one of the many barriers to people seeking help. Let's normalize therapy and taking care of our mental health with support. It's okay to need help and it's okay to ask for help. In fact, it's courageous. In this two-part episode, Catherine walks you through the before/after of her anticipatory discomfort/anxiety prior to beginning therapy again with a new therapist, after a year hiatus. She reflects upon her previous experiences in therapy and all of the meaningful ways it has led to personal growth after difficult experiences.

In this post-reflection episode, Catherine shares her process of reframing perspectives by finding the "gains" within the "pains" of difficult experiences. Difficult experiences are teachers and 2022 was the year in which Catherine had some hard truths to learn about taking accountability for the ways she stood in the way of her own growth. Catherine finds the beauty in raw reflection by recognizing patterns in behavior such as: self-sabotaging, not asking for help, and not accepting people for who they are.
