Join me as I touch on some crazy things going on with my body post covid and how I have been trying to figure out what's been going on. I chat about things I have found in my research that have piqued my interest and made me wonder if that's what could be going on with my body. I talk about mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), poly cystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and menstrual cycles lol.

On this episode, and really the focus of the month of March, I would like to talk about my life after Covid. I want to talk about certain symptoms that arose after covid and how certain symptoms before covid got worse after covid. I want to also talk about how that has been a road block regarding my mental health and how I have been trying to work through it all. 

Wrapping up the series on Growing Up With a Narcissist. I finish up talking about traits of a narcissist that stood out to me in my own journey and I touch a little bit about traits that I have developed during my childhood that lead into adulthood that are from growing up or around a narcissist. I speak about certain things my therapist has helped me with regarding some of those traits and how I am fighting to break generational trauma.

Alright, so new focus for the month of February: growing up with a narcissist. Throughout February, I’ll be talking about how growing up with a narcissist has affected and damaged me in ways that I am trying to unlearn to this day. I’ll touch on attachment styles and trauma responses on later episodes. Generational trauma is a real thing and hurt people hurt people. That’s not an excuse for the person or persons doing the hurting, just a fact that I always like to point out. I intend to break the generational trauma starting with me.

Last week I talked about my college days of diet culture, but I forgot a few things. I was so wrapped up in talking about my sweet friends who passed away, that I forgot to mention the crazy things I would do just to try to keep myself from eating calories. 

So on today’s episode, I will talk about those and also have my friend, Bethany,  join me. I want to share the same trigger warning that I did before. We will be chatting about severe measures I took to try to lose weight and not gain it. We will also be talking about harming one self and unaliving thoughts. We will also be chatting about how that affected my friend and her feelings.

Last week I shared a story from my early teen years where a panic attack landed me in the hospital and what the ER physician said had stuck with me for the better part of my teen years. I also talked about how gym class in high school sucked because we had to change in front of other girls and I was so self conscious of my image that I absolutely hated gym class. I didn’t mind the physical activity, just having to change in front of other girls lol. This week I would like to focus on my life in college specifically through the years of 2016-2019. I would also like to throw a trigger warning out there. I will be talking about grief, harming myself, and unaliving thoughts.
