  • Repair The Breach: BARAK Praise
    Dec 23 2021

Michael and Kayla discuss the Hebrew praise word, Barak. Barak is a humble posture of praise and is translated “blessing” 302 times in the Old Testament.

We praise God on our knees in a different physical and heart posture than we do on our feet. As Michael said, there is healing in the kneeling! Though at one point he also said “God is in the but” but we won’t hold that against him!   Michael and Kayla want to encourage all believers to find freedom in the church to explore these different praise actions!   To check out the book we discussed, Do This For Love by David Eubanks, please used this link: Do This for Love: Free Burma Rangers in the Battle of Mosul https://smile.amazon.com/dp/1642935034/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QVTRP6GQ7265555ZXP9T   To watch the Free Burma Rangers documentary: https://watch.amazon.com/detail?gti=amzn1.dv.gti.feb8c253-2453-c9bf-fa90-f0bfb143e9fa&territory=US&ref_=share_ios_movie&r=web

  • Repair The Breach: Zamar Praise
    Nov 19 2021

Michael and Kayla discuss the Hebrew word Zamar, a praise word for a musical accompaniment with singing. This word encapsulates so much more than simply the music in a song. It is a way that the playing of instruments can bless the Lord and encourage the congregation, even without words and singing.

Michael and Kayla discuss soaking in prayer and meditation while listening to instrumental music and about how music affects our mood and heart posture. Praise is so much more than just one thing, that is why it is important to dive deeper into the Word in the secret place - to discover the many ways to bless the Lord!

  • Repair The Breach: Tehillah Praise
    Nov 12 2021

Michael and Kayla discuss Michael's favorite Hebrew praise word, Tehillah. Tehillah is the Hebrew root for the book of Psalms and is used 57 times in the Old Testament to convey a "new song" style of praise.

When we worship with Tehillah praise we let the Holy Spirit inspire us with new songs and melodies to sing back to Him. These days we hear it called, "spontaneous worship."

Michael and Kayla go through several Old and New Testament passages using this phrase and give directives to the church to practice Tehillah praise both in the secret place and in corporate worship services.
