Excelling in the challenging terrain of fell running, she swiftly ascended to the top, clinching national championships and setting records in iconic races like the Bob Graham Round and Ramsay Round. However, it was her historic triumph in March 2024 that propelled Paris into the international spotlight. With sheer determination and resilience, she became the first woman ever to conquer the Barkley Marathons, an unparalleled test of endurance known for its unforgiving terrain and stringent time limits. Completing the arduous course in 59 hours, 58 minutes, and 21 seconds, Paris's groundbreaking accomplishment stands as a testament to her indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to her craft.

    Jack Fultz, born on August 27, 1948, is a retired American long-distance runner renowned for his victory at the 1976 Boston Marathon, considered the world's oldest and most prestigious marathon race. Growing up in Franklin, Pennsylvania, Fultz attended Franklin Area High School before pursuing his academic and athletic endeavors. He initially attended the University of Arizona before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard. After completing his service, Fultz pursued graduate studies at Georgetown University, where he excelled in middle-distance events as a member of the track team.

    Fultz's crowning achievement came in 1976 when he triumphed in the Boston Marathon, famously known as "The Run for the Hoses," amidst extreme heat, clocking a remarkable time of 2:20:19. Throughout his illustrious career, he qualified for three consecutive United States Olympic Trials marathons and earned accolades such as induction into the Georgetown University Hall of Fame and the DC Road Runners Hall of Fame. Post-retirement, Fultz remains deeply involved in the running community, coaching the Dana Farber Institute Boston Marathon team and actively fundraising for charitable causes.
