  • All the Parts of You with Georgia Holleran
    Sep 23 2024

My guest on this episode is the lovely Georgia Holleran.

She has spent her life researching how we can make the best of our time on this planet, without letting ourselves

get in the way. Her background is in the arts,

    education, neuro-linguistic programming, cognitive

    hypnotherapy and a research Masters.

She’s an educator, writer, speaker and the author of The Last Self Help Book You’ll Ever Need. In this book, she

summarizes the best she has learned … so far and she teaches you how to use it as a Self Help book catered to the very person it’s meant to help…YOU. Which is why it’s the last one you’ll ever need!

We talk about how there are many different parts of ourselves and she refers to this as the “14 ladies” which I love. She helps us see how we can have a healthy relationship and engage with, and most importantly love, all the parts of ourself that are also on this journey with us. She also gave me a beautiful visual of how we those of us who are on similar journeys are this beacons of light all around the world and we just have to link up with each other and each put our beacon out so the others can see our light and we can see theirs.

I laughed through this entire episode with her and I absolutely love her take on things and her energy. I think the biggest thing I got out of our conversation is to let go of the clinging energy I sometimes get stuck in and what is meant for me will find me and it will just flow. I know you’re going to love her as much as I did.

Pick up her book on Amazon called The Last Self Help Book You’ll Ever need and sign up for her newsletter, The Wandering Lightbulb, to stay connected and remain in this energy. Visit her website at georgiaholleran.com to see everything she’s up to.

  • Midlife Calling with Christina Smith
    Sep 9 2024

My guest on this episode is Christina Smith. She’s a Midlife Mentor, Coach, Author, Speaker, host of The Inviting Shift podcast and just all around so easy to talk to and has some really great insight into why so many of us are feeling this calling halfway through our lives. We talk about the belief systems we grew up with, the expectations of others, the fear, how to show up authentically, and most importantly choosing thriving over surviving! On her website, she says “A Midlife Crisis is an Unanswered Calling” and wow, that really hit me! It’s a beautiful conversation and just listening to her feels like a meditation.

  • Being Productive...or Being Busy? With Valerie Recore
    Aug 11 2024

My guest on this episode is Valerie Recore, the owner of Stride Productivity and she’s a Productivity Specialist, time management expert, podcast host, and a mom so she has some really great insight, not only as as a professional and expert in this area, but with her own real life examples she uses in her life and with her family.

She talks about how to have conversations with your family or ask questions of yourself around how you want to show up in your life, aligning your priorities and what you commit to with the kind of life you want to live and how to focus more on “what it is you’re allowing to take your time” vs just "getting it all done”.

Valerie gives actionable tips we can take right out of the podcast and implement, especially as so many of us are shifting into a completely different type of time management as school starts back up and for me, as my youngest starts high school.

You can follow her, check out some books she recommends below, and listen to her as a guest on several other podcasts which she has on her website.

  • Fiercely Authentic with Michele Johnston
    Aug 6 2024

Wow! This guest has such a beautiful energy, and the timing of this episode was perfect. I spent the weekend with some amazing women in my Conscious Connection Circle (more about that at the bottom), where we held space for each other to level up and move closer to our future selves. This episode is all about showing up authentically, the pivotal moments that change our lives, and how we're not meant to do this alone.

Michele is a slayer of limiting beliefs in pursuit of living her best life! Raised with a strict religious ideology of what a woman “should be”, she married young and became a devoted mother of four. For years, she masked her struggles to fit society’s perfect mold. As her kids got older, she prioritized self-care. Pushing a truck full of kettlebells was her “aha” moment, revealing her incredible strength—physically and mentally. Michele dove into fitness and embarked on a journey of self-discovery, self-love, adventure, and grace. Now, as a motivational speaker and empowerment coach, she inspires fierce women to rediscover their authentic selves, fall in love with their quirks, and live life unapologetically!

  • Creative Magic with Laura Westman
    Jul 29 2024

I am so excited to bring this episode to life. Laura Westman is an amazing creative spirit and has the most beautiful energy. I could have talked to her all day.

Laura is a credentialed coach, ontological leadership trainer, a musician and songwriter, an author, co-host of West of Wonderland Podcast, and host of The Creativity Broadcast on YouTube. She's also a former specialty coffee barista and a total fiend for all things magical that feel like they are "off-limits" to functioning adults. She's infinitely curious about who you have to become to let your dreams become reality. She believes everyone deserves to feel a passionate sense of creative joy and magic. Her philosophy is that creativity is how we connect with ourselves, the deepest kind of magic of all.

In Laura’s own words, she’s this kind of coach:

“I’m a “let’s be fantastical and delusional and still watch it all work out!” coach. I’m a “oh, you’re in a dark time, let’s be together in the dark and see what kind of light presents itself” coach. I’m a “who is your dream asking you to be?” coach.”

She also offers digital courses and masterminds on tapping back into your creativity and uncovering your creative magic.

Talking to her gave me so much excitement about my own creative and business endeavors. She gives you permission to dream, to be silly, to laugh, but she also manages to juggle several avenues of her business like the pro that she is.

We talk about how to find that intersection between feral creativity and building an actual structured business. We talk about the crazy ideas that scare us and how to show up with all our wild ideas and own them because someone else (like me) may very well need them and think they’re brilliant! This episode reminded me of why I’ve been on my own creative journey for the past two years and can’t go back to sleep! I just wanted to stay in her energy!

It’s also a great episode for anyone who loves Disney and all things magical! By the way, I’m still waiting on the workbook for how to structure my business after a Disney park!

Please listen in and follow Laura, as well as this podcast for more permission to be wildly creative!

  • Pivot!!!
    Jul 16 2024

Hello Again! Just when it looked like I might be "pod-fading", I'm back! My new episode simply explains what I've been up to, why I've been MIA, and how I'm ramping back up to put out some exciting episodes!

After struggling for a few months with the hour long podcast format I *thought* was expected of all podcasters trying to really produce a quality podcast, I did some soul searching and serious thinking about what I really wanted to put out there. I tried some different things, and I believe I've hit the jackpot for me which is 30 minutes episodes.

At first, I'll be publishing some topic based episodes that share responses from all different kinds of people from all different ranges of experience and walks of life on specific topics we all struggle with! I'm REALLY excited about this format and can't wait to hear what you think.

Stay tuned for episodes on Burnout, Imposter Syndrome, Grace, Fear, Staying Small/Playing Big and much more. I've talked to some amazing people over the last few months and I cannot wait to share their tips, tricks, strategies and experiences with all of you!

  • You're Dying, but You're Not Dead Yet
    Apr 7 2024

I love all of my episodes but this one particularly hits home because it centers on a topic that started my podcast journey and that is the concept of facing our own mortality and living our life to the fullest every day. This, and writing a book to my son about how I wanted him to consider the life he was living as he becomes an "adult", is what led me to create Shake Me Awake and focus on living life Wide Awake and not Sleep Walking through our lives.

Andrew Petty is a coach among many other important things he's doing in the world. He has a podcast called, Andrew Petty is Dying, where he asks us to face our own mortality every day in order to live the life we're meant to live. He talks in this podcast about so many critical things to consider in how we're approaching our lives each day. Please listen in, follow his podcast and go to his website at AndrewPettycoach.com to find out all the other amazing things he's doing to wake others up to their true potential and to be a positive influence on others to ensure we all get the most out of this wild ride.

As Andrew says, we're all going to die, but we're not dead yet, so GET AFTER IT!

  • Feel Into the Life and Business You Want
    Mar 11 2024

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this episode. It left me wanting to live in this feeling and moment for a very long time.

Join me and the Reverend Bunny Love-Schock for a beautiful conversation about business and life and womanhood and Feeling Into the Life you Want and the Business You Want.

Bunny uses her unique and magickal way of guiding me through a heart centered, deep feeling approach to looking at the life I want to create and the business I want to create. She introduces language and body awareness and energy awareness in a way that is foreign to how we grew up learning how to think about the choices in our lives and in our businesses.

Ever since Bunny entered my orbit, I've taken a very different approach to how I want to operate my business and how I talk to myself about the future I'm creating for myself. This is one of the most important things we can do, and especially if we're asking ourselves to change something fairly drastically in our lives (like a career change, relationship change, season of life change, etc).

Bunny's unique way of using poetry and magic and weaving it into the fabric of whatever you've shown up in today is absolutely spellbinding and will leave you wanting to listen to more of what she has to say.
