Beverly retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as a National Program Leader. She developed an interest in diversity and cultural appreciation on a federal task force. She has volunteered most of her life working with children in various capacities. She enjoys dedicating her time to the Make New Friends book series and developing the curriculum.

Alyssa works in management consulting for a federal government contractor. She enjoys learning about different cultures, writing short stories, and poetry.
