We sat down for Season 2, Episode 2 and decided to take on something pretty damn cool — the Chattanooga Whiskey Founder’s Blend Kit.

The kit gives you everything you need to create your own custom blend, including:

🥃 Three 375ml bottles — each representing one of the unique solera barrels used in the annual blend and representing the brand's past, present, and future.

📊 Blending charts and measuring tools — because apparently we're supposed to know what the hell we're doing.

🍾 Your own final bottle — ready to hold whatever crazy creation you come up with.

And then…

Damien forgot to push RECORD. 🤦‍♂️😂

Yep. We had already done the entire blending process, had all the conversations, made our decisions and created our blend — and NONE OF IT WAS RECORDED!

So what do you do?

You do it again! 😂🥃

The second time around, we had to talk about what we had already created, explain our decisions and revisit exactly what we thought about the finished blend.

And let's just say…

WE DID NOT HOLD BACK. 😳🥃

We paid our money for this experience, put the blend together, and we're going to give you our honest opinions about what we made.

The Tampa Bay Bourbon Boyz were back at it again, and this time we teamed up with Morgan from Winthrop Liquors Inc. in Riverview for a barrel pick that turned out to be something REALLY special!

Our selection? Old Dominick, a fantastic distillery out of Memphis, Tennessee. 🥃

This particular barrel is an 8-year-old whiskey that entered the barrel at 110 proof and came out the other side at a monster 131.40 proof! 💥

But here's the thing about doing a proper barrel pick: you can't judge a barrel by one sample.

We went through several samples during the selection process, and that's one of the things we really appreciate about working with a great rep. Instead of limiting the group to just three barrels, we were able to taste through several different options.

And that's important because not every barrel is ready to be picked.

After tasting, discussing, comparing notes, and going back and forth, everyone came to an agreement.

THIS was the barrel. 🥃🔥

And let us tell you...

THIS BARREL IS PHENOMENAL!

America turned 250, so The Boyz celebrated the only way we know how—with some seriously patriotic pours!

This year's lineup featured three special anniversary releases: the Maker's Mark USA 250th Anniversary, Knob Creek Independence Edition, and the Evan Williams Single Barrel America250 Commemorative Edition.

All three bottles embraced the red, white, and blue spirit with patriotic packaging, but one stood out from the rest. While Maker's Mark and Knob Creek proudly displayed the "sort of 250" branding, Evan Williams went the extra mile. From sourcing only 250 hand-selected barrels to bottling it at 117.76 proof as a tribute to 1776, it felt like a genuine celebration of America's milestone—not just a commemorative label. That's the kind of effort we love to see.

We're not knocking the other two—they're solid pours—but if you're going to celebrate 250 years of American history, make it memorable. Here's hoping distilleries raise the bar even higher for the 275th Anniversary. We demand better!
