MEET DRAKE:

As a pastor and speaker, Drake De Long-Farmer has been passionate about inviting people into the deeper life with God and creating spaces for people to wrestle with what they believe about themselves, God, and the world around them. His hope is that, in some way, through his words and work, he can inspire people to become #FullOfLove, #FuelledByFaith, and #AddictedToHope. Drake currently serves on the leadership team of Beulah Alliance Church in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Growing up in a military family, he has moved a lot in his lifetime and has had the privilege to travel across Canada and Europe, but he is most at home when he spends time with his wife and four kids.

Comparison kills confidence, callings, clarity... what other "c" words can we come up with... courage, calm, and creativity... It's been taking me out of my power my whole life. And I'm done giving it my power. God didn't make me to be compared. He didn't make you that way either.

It's been 2 years this month since I walked away from my real estate business of 10 years.  It's been interesting to detach from the identity of "successful Realtor with an established business" and the importance I assigned to how much money I could bring home. Redefining success was one thing. Retraining my nervous system was another - after 10+ years of reacting and being "on" all the time, it took a while for me to recover my energy and learn to rest.
