What is tarot? How does it work? Does it tell the future? Or is it an archetypal mirror for deep introspection? Or is it a map to the Western mysteries of the universe? Or is it all these and more? Also, how do we do magic with Tarot?

Who better to ask than T. Susan Chang.

Susan is my personal tarot hero. She wrote legendary books like Tarot Correspondences, 36 Secrets, and she co-wrote Tarot Deciphered.

Her most recent book 4 Stories teaches an elemental approach to tarot.

Talking to the dead. It’s a practice that’s been with humanity ever since we’ve been walking upright. And it continues to be endlessly fascinating. We brought on evidential medium Nicole Pope to teach us about it.

Pope used to be a strategic transformation executive in the corporate world. But when her son told her he was able to see dead people, she began to walk down a different path. Today, she is an evidential medium, spiritual mentor, and fellow podcaster.

Your biology is your politics and it could be no other way!

That’s kind of the message of Arnold Schroder who is the brilliant mind behind the deeply researched podcast Fight Like an Animal and the author of Fight Like An Animal: Revolutionary Biology in Defense of Life.

We talk about how biology can greatly determine our political outlook, and how we can use that to gain more agency. We also talk about social movements and how these spaces often draw in people addicted to conflict.
