Happy Father's Day!

We pray that your experience with your dad was good, but we also have to acknowledge that it might not have been. As the saying goes, "Anyone can become a father, but it takes work to be a good dad."

Whatever your experience we pray that God is using that to build the person you are becoming and have become. We hope that God can bring forgiveness and healing to each and every situation.

Join Dan and Scott this week as we talk about Fatherhood, Godly Manhood and what it means to generations of kids, communities and even worlds when men be who they are supposed to be.

And the great news today is three fold. 1) It's never too late to be a great dad. 2) You're not alone, you never were. and 3) Jesus is for you.

How does a leadership identify a Church's Needs? What does it look like when a leadership does what they want, rather than what the people need.

We invite you to open your bibles to Ezekiel and listen as Dan discusses the implications of God's observations on the leaders of Israel. Then, we discuss what's going on in local churches that look like this.

The dangers of worshipping tradition, church leaders appeasing the big givers and general ignorance on a church's needs are slowly killing churches in the world today. Unfortunately, that's nothing new.

As Jesus was about to ascend to His Father, he gave a command to his disciples (including us!). "Make disciples..." He told them in Matthew 28:18-20. This is a command of scripture, it is a command of Jesus Christ himself! And yet, according to studies and research by groups like Barna.org, only 1 in 10 Chrisitans are actively involved in discipling others in America today.

Our hope is that Broad Creek will become a hub of discipleship where every Christian is actively engaged in discipling others. What does that look like?

Join Dan and Scott today as they are joined by Aaron Askew to discuss discipleship. Aaron joined us to give his insight into teenagers and the desperate need to disciple young people today.

There is good news on the front though. According to stats, Millennials and Gen X Christians are discipling at a rate of 30% or so in America today. How do we make it so that discipleship isn't the exception, but it becomes normal?

This week, Dan and Scott begin a conversation that they will revisit in the future: Misconceptions About Church. Today they will respond to the statement, "I don't have to go to church if I'm a Christian."

Sometimes people will say they don't have to go to church because they can go out in the woods and be in church. Or maybe they have experienced church hurt and are too mad or too afraid to try a church again.

This podcast can provide a roadmap for you to have a conversation with your friends, neighbors or family who claim to believe in Christ as Savior, but will not love the church that he died for.

No church is perfect, but you can't judge Christ on the failing of the people in His church. No church is perfect, but that isn't God's fault. Let us love what Jesus loves and my friend, He loves the church.
