What happens when keeping the peace starts costing you more than you realized? The New Moon in Libra arrives October 10th in the Saturn-ruled second decan which is associated with the Three of Swords and the sometimes uncomfortable realities of relationships, commitments & agreements. With Saturn in Aries opposing the lunation, Venus retrograde in Scorpio squaring Mars in Leo, and Jupiter offering some support, we're examining the balance between our individual needs and the responsibilities we've taken on with others. The Sun moves through Human Design Gate 57, the Gate of Intuitive Clarity, whose Gene Key travels from Unease to Intuition to Clarity. Drawing from Chapters 3 and 12 of Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run With the Wolves, we explore Vasalisa's journey into the forest, the Crescent Moon Bear, and what intuition, anger & forgiveness can teach us about boundaries and discernment. This episode digs into resentment disguised as responsibility, the difference between compassion and managing someone else's emotions, and three things to watch for as Venus continues her retrograde journey. Maybe it's time to examine which ties are worth strengthening, which agreements need renegotiating, and what you've been agreeing to simply because you've always done it.

What can you see at depth that you can't see from the surface? October takes us into the trench as Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio, beginning a deeper examination of relationships, money, desire, attachment, intimacy, power & what we actually value. We open the month with Mars opposing Pluto and Mercury squaring Mars, move through a Libra New Moon and Taurus Full Moon both ruled by Venus, while Mercury travels alongside Venus before beginning a retrograde of its own. The Human Design transits tell an equally interesting story, moving from Gate 18's Judgment into Depth, Intuitive Clarity, Continuity and Values before ending the month in Alertness. This episode explores what happens when the easy explanation stops working, why pressure can reveal what actually has staying power, how the cost of something can change even when its value hasn't, & what Venus may uncover when she takes us far enough below the surface to see what has been there all along. You don't go into the trench to live there. You go down because there are things you simply cannot see from the surface.
