  • Episode 11 | Living with a Visionary? Or a Narcissist with Rachel Lebowitz
    May 16 2024

[1:55: 2:02] How has your learning changed from your early years versus today?

Back when Rachel Lebowitz was in long-distance college, getting information meant going to the library or store for books, then emailing assessments to professors. Nowadays, with tools like Zoom, information comes much faster, but there's so much of it that it's hard to know what's true. We used to have to go to libraries for information, but now it's all on our phones. With all this connection available, she wonder if they're spending less time with our families.

[5:26 - 8:08] How have you developed a winning mindset and what are some of the techniques or practices that you use to overcome self doubt or limiting beliefs?

It's important to know yourself as the spouse of an entrepreneur. You might feel less important, but supporting your partner is valuable. Rachel Lebowitz learned to see problems as just issues to deal with, not emergencies or personal attacks.

[31:56 - 35:22] What should people expect when they enter your reality?

Based on Rachel Lebowitz, The Driven Spouse Forum helps couples where one partner is a driven entrepreneur. It's based on Dr. Doug Brackman's idea of the "narcissistic fantasy," where people believe achieving certain goals will make life perfect. The forum provides resources to improve communication and understanding between partners, bridging gaps in knowledge and interests.

[44:36 - 46:01] What are you working on right now that's going to take place over the next 12 months that excites you?

Rachel Lebowitz is excited to expand the Driven Spouse Forum to help more entrepreneurs and their partners, without relying on specific groups. They're also looking forward to writing a book for spouses of entrepreneurs and launching Empower TOO for second-in-command professionals.
