  • Episode 20: Project Prometheus, Mythology Meets Super-Science
    May 8 2026

Episode 20 looks at Project Prometheus, a 1985 DC Heroes module from Mayfair Games.

This one is strange in the best way. Giant eagles, the Minotaur, ancient Minoan mythology, super-science, secret labs, government agencies, and a full Mediterranean chase all packed into one short adventure.

I break down what works, what shows its age, and why this messy, ambitious module is still worth reading today. It is not the easiest adventure to run, but it has energy, weirdness, and a real comic book feel.

  • Episode 19: King of Crime, a Secret Society Module That Still Works
    Apr 28 2026

Episode 19 takes a look at King of Crime, one of the early DC Heroes modules from Mayfair Games. This one throws Central City into chaos with the Secret Society of Super-Villains making a full move on the city, and it does a lot of things right. Good pacing, a strong villain lineup, replay value, and a comic-book feel that keeps the pressure on from start to finish.

In this episode, I break down what works, what shows its age, and why King of Crime is still a module worth reading and maybe even running today. If you like old superhero adventures, villain team-ups, and modules that actually feel playable, this one is worth a look.

  • Episode 18: Blood Feud, and Why Old Modules Still Work
    Apr 21 2026

This episode of Gotham and Beyond looks at Blood Feud, an early DC Heroes module that still has a lot to teach. I talk about why the adventure works, how it builds pressure, and how you can adapt it for your own custom heroes without needing the exact team it was written for. If you like old superhero modules, city-based trouble, villain teams, and adventures with good bones, this one is worth a second look.
