In this Bible study, Travis Lee Peters teaches how to keep your mind stayed on God when worry, fear, pressure, symptoms, bad reports, or financial stress try to pull your attention away from the Word.

You'll learn why your focus matters, how worry begins to spiral when your mind shifts to the wrong thing, and how to cast your cares on the Lord instead of carrying them yourself.

Using Isaiah 26:3, 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:19, and other Scriptures, Travis shows how believers can live from a place of supernatural peace, trust God as their source, and refuse to fear no matter what is happening in the natural.

If you've been battling worry, anxiety, financial pressure, fear, overthinking, or emotional heaviness, this message will help you shift your focus back to God and live with confidence again.

    In this lesson, you'll learn:

    - Why worry often starts when your focus shifts
    - How to stop the downward spiral of anxious thoughts
    - Why God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him
    - How to cast your cares on the Lord and leave them there
    - Why financial pressure loses power when God becomes your source
    - How to refuse fear before it takes over
    - Why peace helps you hear from God more clearly
    - How to pre-decide that you will not worry

    Scriptures referenced:

A bill is coming due. Something is happening in your family. You're facing a situation you don't know how to fix. Before you realize it, your mind is running through every possible thing that could go wrong.

How do you interrupt that cycle and respond in faith?

Philippians 4:6–7 gives us instructions: don't worry about anything, pray about everything, tell God what you need, and thank Him for what He has done. Then His peace will guard your heart and mind.

But what does that look like when the same concern comes back five minutes later?

In this teaching, we talk about how to put those instructions into action, recognize thoughts that pull you away from trusting God, and develop the habit of bringing your attention back to His Word.

    You'll learn:
    • How worry tries to undermine your trust in your heavenly Father.
    • How to apply Philippians 4:6–7 when you feel overwhelmed.
    • What it means to cast your cares on God and leave them with Him.
    • How to take thoughts captive instead of rehearsing everything that could go wrong.
    • Why renewing your mind helps you respond in faith.
    • The connection between humility, trusting God, and releasing your cares.
    • Why facing another challenge doesn't mean you've failed.
    • How to care about people without carrying worry about them.

We also lead you through a spoken prayer to release your cares to the Father and respond to worry with faith.

    Scriptures discussed include:
    Philippians 4:4–7
    Matthew 6:25–34
    John 14:27
    2 Corinthians 10:5
    Romans 12:2
    1 Peter 5:5–8
    James 4:7

This teaching is part of our Worry Free Challenge, where we're learning to apply God's Word to everyday situations and build the habit of trusting Him.

If we haven't met yet, I'm Travis Lee Peters. Along with my wife, Rachel, I help believers understand the Bible, build strong faith, and apply what they're learning to the situations they're actually facing.

  • The Answer Is in You: Learning to Hear God's Wisdom

In this Bible study, Travis Lee Peters teaches from 1 Corinthians 2 about the Holy Spirit, the mind of Christ, and how believers can know the things God has freely given them.

Many Christians have been taught to think God is mysterious, distant, confusing, or hard to hear from. But Scripture says God has given us His Spirit, and His Spirit reveals the deep things of God. You do not have to live confused, disconnected, worried, or unsure of what to do.

You'll also learn why it matters to study the Word topically when you're facing a specific situation. If you're dealing with financial pressure, health issues, worry, fear, or confusion, you need to build your faith with Scriptures that speak directly to what you're facing.

If you've been saying, "I don't know what to do," "I'm confused," or "I don't hear from God," this lesson will help you renew your mind and start believing what the Word says about the Spirit of God living in you.

    In this lesson, you'll learn:

    - Why God is not a mystery to His children
    - How the Holy Spirit reveals the deep things of God
    - Why you can know the things God has freely given you
    - What it means to have the mind of Christ
    - Why you should stop saying you're confused
    - How to ask God for wisdom when you need direction
    - Why worry makes it harder to hear clearly
    - How to study the Word for the specific area where you need faith

    Scriptures referenced:
    1 Corinthians 2:9-16
    1 Corinthians 3:16
    1 Corinthians 6:17
    1 Corinthians 6:19

In this teaching, Travis Lee Peters explores 2 Corinthians 1:20, Psalm 37:3–4, Philippians 2:13, and John 15:7–8 to help you build a biblical understanding of prayer and God's character.

What does it mean that God's promises are "Yes" in Christ? How does delighting yourself in the Lord relate to the desires of your heart? And why did Jesus connect asking and receiving with abiding in Him and keeping His words in you?

We'll examine these passages, challenge assumptions that can weaken your confidence in prayer, and talk about following God's leading one step at a time.

Travis also shares how he and Rachel trusted God through their desire for a new home and for Rachel to become a stay-at-home mom. These personal testimonies illustrate their journey of faith, obedience, and recognizing God's faithfulness over time.

  • RELEASE THE WEIGHT OF IT | How to Give Your Worries to God
    Sep 30 2026

What if you simply stopped carrying the weight?

The Bible doesn't tell you to manage your worries, carry them better, or learn how to live under the pressure.

It tells you to CAST THEM ON GOD.

In Day 3 of Worry Free Living, we're looking at Psalm 55:22 and 1 Peter 5:7 and learning what it actually means to release the weight of your worries, cares, anxieties, and burdens onto God.

🎓 Want to go deeper in the Word? Join Increase Bible Academy:

Increase Bible Academy is THE ONLINE BIBLE SCHOOL FOR EVERYDAY BELIEVERS.

Learn how to understand the Bible for yourself and actually put God's Word to work in your everyday life. Build strong faith, pray prayers that get answered, understand your authority and covenant, hear from God, receive what He has promised, and learn to live from faith instead of fear.

    IN THIS TEACHING, YOU'LL DISCOVER:

    • What it actually means to cast your burden on the Lord
    • How to release the weight of worry
    • What God's promise to "sustain you" means
    • Why holding onto your worries can become self-dependence
    • How worry affects the decisions you make
    • The difference between playing to win and playing not to lose
    • How to recognize worry thoughts before they take root
    • A practical way to take your thoughts captive
    • How to replace fearful thoughts with God's Word

    Psalm 55:22 says:

"Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."

God never intended for you to carry everything yourself.

When you release the weight of your burdens onto Him, you can trust Him to sustain you, provide for you, guide you, and show you what to do next.

    Think about this:

Where would you be today if you hadn't worried about anything for the last 365 days?

At the very least, you'd probably still be where you are right now, except you would have enjoyed the last year a whole lot more.

And what decisions might you have made differently if they had come from faith instead of fear?

    Worry makes you play defense.

Faith allows you to move forward.

Worry thoughts may come, but you don't have to receive them. Take the thought captive. Stop the negative mental movie. Replace it with God's Word.

    Release the weight of it.

    Let God sustain you.
