About this listen

The world around us may have grown increasingly chaotic, but there is still fullness of joy in His Presence! That's what The Presence Driven Life podcast is all about—learning to live from the beauty, peace, and joy of His presence. That preaches good, but how do we authentically live it out? Join host Cindy Powell and others as we have real conversations, about real issues affecting real people, who are pressing in for more of a very real God. We plan to post a new episode every Monday, often with special guests who add richness and depth to the conversation. We will explore a variety of topics—from the sweet and simple, to the deep and complex—all with the goal of removing obstacles that hinder us from living in the abiding reality of unbroken communion with Jesus. While we won't shy away from tough or even controversial topics, our goal will always be to keep His presence at the center. We want the freedom to be brutally honest, yet fully honoring to God as we learn to practice His presence together! I hope you'll join us! • Intentions, Interruptions, and Identity w/ Sue Robson
    Jan 12 2026

Who doesn't love a good alliteration? But it just so happens these particular words don't just go together alliteratively, they also happen to perfectly describe our first podcast conversation of the year.

Sue Robson joins the conversation today and while we started out talking about intentions for the new year and how we always need to be mindful of divine interruptions along the way, the Holy Spirit jumped in to prove the point by redirecting much of the conversation toward the topic of identity. We hope you'll grab a cup of coffee and come along for the ride!

  • Repositioning
    Dec 29 2025

When a cruise ship moves out of one area at the end of its season to a new locale for a new season, it's called repositioning. Repositioning represents the space in-between two seasons—you’re not in the old place, but you haven’t quite arrived in the new season either. Could it be that the Church has been in a time of repositioning? Maybe what has felt like being adrift has really been a steady and intentional process of repositioning?

That's the possibility we’re exploring in this week’s episode. So grab yourself a “year-end” cup of coffee and listen in for a few thoughts on the process of repositioning and what could be ahead for a Church learning follow the ark and seek first His Kingdom

  • Finding Christmas Quiet w/ Cindy Powell, Tracy Brown, and Nick In't Hout
    Dec 15 2025

When you hear the term “Christmas Quiet” what do you think about? If you're like most people, you probably conjure up some kind of tranquil setting that belongs on a Hallmark card, rather than the busy—and often loud and chaotic —reality of most of our lives. But what if finding Christmas quiet isn’t about eliminating the noise and mess of our day-to-day lives? What if it is more about eliminating unnecessary excess and unrealistic expectations so we can grasp moments of beauty and meaning right smack in the middle of the crazy?

That is the topic of this week's episode. Tracy Brown and Nick In't Hout are in the house to add their own reflections on things we can all do to lay hold of extraordinary moments of grace in the midst of of our ordinary and, often, overfull lives. You won't want to miss this practical and encouraging conversation!

If you'd like to share some of the ways you are laying hold of those beautiful holy moments in the midst of your everyday life, please send an email to: thearisingglobal@gmail.com We would love to hear from you!

If you’d like to join the zoom meeting for “Christmas Quiet” that we referenced in the episode, we will continue to meet for the next two Tuesday mornings and the link can be accessed at prayerhouseonthezoom.com For any Bible nerds who were wondering - the time between Babylon and Bethlehem was about 500 years - so Nick was close!
