Witches Movie Coven Interview: The Adams Family on Hellbender, Mother of Flies & The Glorious Dead In the first Witches Movie Coven: Inner Circle interview, Scarlett Amaris welcomes filmmakers John Adams and Toby Poser to discuss their films "Mother of Flies" and "Hellbender," including how a music video for their band Hellbender and an accidental editing effect became the visual spark for Hellbender’s “hidden magic.” They explain the origin of the name Wonder Wheel from John’s Coney Island proposal to Toby, and describe their creative process as intuitive, playful, and fueled by “happy accidents,” while noting they are not witchcraft practitioners but feel aligned with an animistic worldview rooted in nature, cycles of life and death, and rebellion outside religious structures. They talk about their prolific, family-based filmmaking approach, poetry and prose writing, influences like Gnosticism and necromancy in Mother of Flies, and preview their new apocalyptic undead film The Glorious Dead, plus an upcoming urban travel-shot project using festival-community friends. #adamsfamily #motherofflies #tobyposer
