  • "What is good grief?"
    Feb 8 2023
Hey y'all!!! Welcome back to season three of Mindful Nuggets Podcast! I launched my very first episode of Mindful Nuggets on February 4, 2022! You can check out my first episode here. Today's episode is about grief! Someone who I loved a lot died in the last week. And I have experienced grief in a different way. It was peaceful and joyful. That sounds strange, right? It is so interesting how each death hits so differently. In today's episode, I am talking about how we experience grief differently, how we can deal with our grief and where we can go and get support. I have a workshop coming up on February 17, 2023 from 6-7:30pm. This will be a safe place for those who are dealing with grief. • "What do I need to remember about grief?" with Johanny Reyes, LCSW
    Oct 7 2022
Heyyy! Today, I am speaking with Johanny (pronounced Jo-hon-ey) Reyes about "Grief!" You or someone you know might be grieving. We have experienced so many deaths individually and collectively over the last almost three years. Today we will talk about myths associated with grieving and how to support someone who is grieving. Here's some information about Johanny! Johanny is a licensed therapist and clinical social worker in the state of Florida and currently the CEO of Thriving Counseling Solutions LLC. Johanny experienced her own family trauma and was able to understand some of her situation through working as a social worker. As far as she can remember, Johanny has had a passion to work with people. She believes that her life story has contributed to her pursuing the social work and mental health profession. She says that moving to the United States and growing up in an impoverished environment introduced her to social work. Johanny has a true passion to help make a difference in people’s lives. Especially those who look like her and have faced intergenerational trauma. Currently, Johanny works with teenagers and high functioning adults and helps them to manage mental health concerns, relationship problems and grief and loss. You can connect with Johanny @ www.ThrivingCounselingSolutions.com or via Instagram @ ThrivingCounselingSolutions. Here’s a handout about grief.
