Today's episode is about grief! Someone who I loved a lot died in the last week. And I have experienced grief in a different way. It was peaceful and joyful. That sounds strange, right? It is so interesting how each death hits so differently. I have a workshop coming up on February 17, 2023 from 6-7:30pm. This will be a safe place for those who are dealing with grief. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month (SPAM). In 2020, suicide was the 12th leading cause of death. Suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages 25-34 and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 44. In today's episode, I'll be discussing: Statistics about suicide Words surrounding suicide Myths about suicide Tips to support someone who might be suicidal Resources to support you or those in your life who might have suicidal thoughts Verses that I mentioned: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble." Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Safety plan: https://www.mysafetyplan.org/ --- DISCLAIMER: Mindful Nuggets was a podcast to support women who are on their mental and spiritual wellness journey.
