Text Me! I’d love to hear from you!

Maybe it was that promotion we prayed for that was given to someone else, maybe it was the test we prayed and studied for and failed. Maybe it was the prayer for a spouse and here’s to another year of being single. Things like this, we can rationalize after the initial butthurt that maybe it wasn’t God’s timing, or He’s got something better. But what about the bigger things? Maybe you prayed and fasted for someone’s healing and it didn’t happen. Maybe you prayed for God to save your marriage and it still ended in divorce. Maybe you’ve prayed for that prodigal child who is still running.

Many times we judge God’s power and goodness by the outcome and the truth of Scripture based on our expectations. We must be careful not to confuse what God has promised with what we just assume He’s promised.

Let’s talk about sex, baby…ok well not like that but its a catchy tune you gotta admit.

Because if the subject, I must be responsible and say up front this is a listener discretion advised episode. As we will be examining what societal views vs Scriptural views on sexuality. We all know what God designed, satan perverts. This will explore how the Bible defines sexuality sin and how neither temptation nor sin has to define us.

Satan wants to give us an end, Jesus wants to give us new beginnings.

  • Time, What Has Become of Me?

Text Me! I’d love to hear from you!

Time Time Time…see what’s become of me. I’m not talking about the Bangles Hazy Shade of Winter…well for us 80s kids it was the Bangles, for those 60s kids it was Paul Simon with Simon & Garfunkel.

But this episode really isn’t about that as much as it is about separating the daily noise and chaos from what really matters. Jesus was the perfect example of doing just that. We like the idea of the Jesus we see depicted in paintings, childrens books, and shows with Jesus having unlimited time, and patience for everyone but if you read scripture, you’ll see this is not the case.

Yes Jesus was compassionate, healed the sick, He was a friend to the broken, He taught the crowds, He paid attention to those who were overlooked, He even asked forgiveness on the behalf of those who beat Him, mocked Him, and crucified Him. But He also knew His time was limited with a specific assignment. He did not respond to every voice, answer every question, defend Himself against every accusation, nor did He allow anyone to dictate His schedule. We can all learn from His example.
