• EP 25 | The Liminal Space - Between the skin I’ve shed and the horizon ahead
    Dec 22 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 21st December 2025.

I’ve made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

I share the current astrological and Chinese zodiac influences affecting me and us, as a collective, at the moment. I talk a little into the New Moon in Sagittarius that has just occurred over the weekend, the final new moon and opportunity to set intentions for the beginnings and new energy that are just around the corner with the Universal Year 1 and the Year of the Horse in 2026. I offer some journaling prompts at the end tied into these themes for reflection and forward planning. • EP 23 | School Captaincy Speech
    Nov 17 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I shared on Substack on the 18th November 2025.

I have made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

It’s a gentle reflection following my daughter writing her school captaincy speech and the softness that is blossoming as she ages, despite all that I have feared around that growth.

  • EP 22 | Building resilience or creating traumatic imprints?
    Oct 29 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I shared on Substack on the 29th of October 2025.

I have made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

It’s all about the fear that I am causing damage to my daughter’s nervous system, as opposed building her resilience and adaptability as a human being by forcing her to do things she doesn’t want to do.

  • EP 21 | I'm not ready to let go of my daughter's messy trail of fingerprints on the walls
    Sep 27 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 27th Sept 2025.

I have made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

It’s titled ‘I'm not ready to let go of my daughter's messy trail of fingerprints on the walls’.

I share how seeing my daughter’s fingerprints on the mirrored doors of my wardrobe when she was two years old made me feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude because I was told, when she was just a few weeks old, that she would never see and may never walk, talk or eat with a feeding tube. And how, almost 17 years down the track, I still love washing the walls of her fingerprints, because it reminds me of all that we’ve achieved to overcome a diagnosis that was pretty dire in those early days.

  • EP 20 | I can't be your medicine
    Sep 14 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 13th Sept 2025.

I have made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

    It’s titled ‘I can’t be your medicine’.

I speak about the challenges I am currently facing with my daughter's anxiety and the impact that has on her, me and us. I share about a realisation I had that, in considering a path of medication for her, I fee like I’ve failed. But how, in that realisation, I am making a choice to hand over her sufferances to the medicinal world, because I can’t be her medicine anymore.

  • EP 18 | The sock dilemma
    May 8 2025

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 9th May 2025.

I have made the decision to create audio versions of my written content to ensure the blindness and low vision community, or people who just prefer to listen, can access and enjoy my muse.

    It’s titled ‘The sock dilemma’.

I speak about the challenges my blind daughter faces to achieve simple, everyday tasks that able bodied people do without a second thought and how I support her to achieve her goals.

It’s all about how the humble sock gave me a big lesson in being resourceful, creative, and opportunistic, and how what one perceives as a dead end, to me, feels like a detour. There’s always another way!
