This story is about four friends who feel very differently about the notion of love. Eventually, when they do fall in love themselves, they realize that the world of college and the world outside are two very different things. And so their struggle begins - the struggle of love, of “practicals”, of assignments, of professors and of the society.

Though brought up to be quiet and obedient, Veda chafes at the meaninglessness of her existence.

From the lonely barista to the unhappily married housewife, and the writer who sees something special in Yeongju - they all have disappointments in their past.

They are young digital "creatives" exploring the excitements of the city, freelancers without too many constraints, who spend their free time cultivating house plants and their images online. At first, they reasonably deduce that they've turned their passion for aesthetics into a viable, even enviable career, but the years go by, and Anna and Tom grow bored.

An easy but interesting listen, When Strangers Meet.. has a story to which youth can relate. It shows the father-son relationship from the points of view of the three main characters in the audiobook, each belonging to different ethnicities and stratas of society.
