Christwerden und Christsein mit Edith Stein. Edith Stein (1891-1942) gehört ohne Zweifel zu den beeindruckendsten Persönlichkeiten des zurückliegenden 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Philosophin und Frauenrechtlerin konvertierte 1922 vom Judentum zum Christentum und trat elf Jahre später, 1933, in den Karmelitenorden ein. Am 09. Aug. 1942 wurde sie im Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau ermordet. Die katholische Kirche verehrt Edith Stein als Heilige. Sie ist Patronin Europas.
