Breaking Free of Child Anxiety and OCD is the first and only book to provide a completely parent-based treatment program for child and adolescent anxiety. Parents will learn how to alleviate their children's anxiety by changing the way they themselves respond to their children's symptoms - importantly, parents are not required to impose changes on their children's behavior. Instead, parents are shown how to replace their own accommodating behaviors with supportive responses that demonstrate both acceptance of children's difficulties and confidence in their ability to cope.

Story0
Getting past the stereotypical beliefs about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is the goal. Being an advocate for OCD is the goal. OCD is not a handwashing or organization disorder, it is about anxiety. When OCD's anxiety does not show itself outward in a physical sense it becomes a hidden secret to only those who have it and the ones that support them. The world outside has no clue of the anxiety's present and thus it becomes the invisible wheelchair of the person who is dealing with the anxiety. It is time for the world to see and understand what that anxiety is doing to people.

This podcast offers a helping hand to families in which a teen or college-aged kid is learning to manage OCD. OCD impacts families; it can hold all family members hostage. Sometimes it feels like OCD is the family boss running the show. The goal of this podcast is to help people managing OCD, their parents and other OCD champions get in the driver's seat of their lives so they are in charge--not OCD. Come as you are and create the life you want.--even when OCD is part of the picture. Learn how to get and stay connected to the person with OCD doing the hard work of managing their minds.

Story2
Nathan was different and Sally knew it. From his early childhood, Nathan was bursting with creativity and uncontainable energy, struggling not only with learning issues but also with anxiety and OCD. He saw the world through his own unique lens - one that often caused him to be labeled as "bad", "troubled", or someone in need of "fixing". Bravely choosing to listen to her motherly intuition rather than the loud voices of the world, Sally dared to believe that Nathan's differences could be part of an intentional design.
