David Lee is 12 years old and disappointed in his father Earl, a once-famous rodeo clown who has quit the circuit and moved David to a small town in Vermont to start a new life. David has a hard time adjusting to life as a “normal” boy and is hurt that his father never allowed him the chance to be his partner in the rodeo arena. When Earl tries to buy David a horse at auction, David pretends to have no interest in it, and the horse is sold, instead, to a 70-year-old woman named Sarah Tierney.

In der zwanzigsten und letzten Ella-Folge dreht sich alles um die Frage, ob Timo sein eigenes Reiterdenkmal bekommt. Ellas Lehrer wird vom Schulleiter wieder zum normalen Lehrer degradiert. Ellas Klasse findet das super, denn so ist der Lehrer wieder permanent im Klassenraum und nicht im ollen Direktorenzimmer. Dann wird der neue, merkwürdig weihnachtlich aussehende Schulleiter vorgestellt. Die Klasse ist begeistert, außer Pekka, der sich Sorgen um die Weihnachtsgeschenke macht. Auch um Timo, der sich in der Mülltonne versteckt hat, machen alle sich Sorgen. Was ist mit Timo los, und haben die Pferde etwas damit zu tun?

I fjerde bind af "Hestene på ponygården" hører vi om tolvårige Steffi og hendes sommer med den iltre araberhest Saphir. Steffi er den dygtigste rytter på rideskolen - også selvom hun kun har råd til at betale for at ride på ét hold om ugen. Denne sommer flytter tvillingebrødrene Mark og Johan og deres to smukke araberheste ind på Ponygården. Brødrene træner til DM i "Mounted Games", men da Johan falder af sin hest, Saphir, og brækker armen, mister han interessen for at ride, og Mark har nu ingen makker til DM.

Forår på Ponygården. Maja skal til Danmarksmesterskabet i military. Hun træner hver dag. Sådan har hendes hverdag været i mange år. Al hendes tid er gået med ridning. Og nu lokker andre interesser. Fester. Venner. Måske den første kæreste? Samtidig er Maja ved at være for stor til at ride ponyklasser, og hun finder en ny hest, der kan blive Dancers afløser. Men hun har haft Dancer i fire år og selv trænet ham op.

Efter en alvorlig rideulykke er Sofie blevet bange for at ride. Men da hun begynder at hjælpe Karen med hendes islændere, bliver Sofie langsomt tryg ved heste igen, og især ved Alvar... Aber dann klappt nichts, wie sie es sich vorstellen. Der schnelle Torpedo reißt die Hindernisse um, und die kleine Stute Nanu macht nur Faxen. Jetzt brauchen sie dringend ein Pony, das alle gehörig auf Trab bringt.

Endlich Sommerferien! Für die zehnjährige Monka Winter und ihr Lieblingspony Dr. Paul versprechen diese Ferien ganz besonders zu werden: Gemeinsam sollen sie die Schule der kleinen Ponys leiten und die Ausbildung der jungen Vierbeiner auf dem Gestüt der Winters übernehmen. Ziemlich aufregend, findet Mo. Und dann taucht auch noch ein fremdes Mädchen auf, das ein großes Geheimnis hat und dringend Hilfe braucht. Wie gut, dass Mo und Dr. Paul zur Stelle sind!
