A powerful Czech multimillionaire, Radovan Krejcir fled his home country shortly after his arrest in 2005 on charges of fraud. Louise flytter hjem til sin mor og lillesøster i Kolding. Ved siden af jobbet som opvasker på et stort hotel tjener hun penge ved at sælge sex til de mandlige gæster. Da en tysk kvinde tilbyder hende at komme til Hamborg og indspille pornofilm, ser hun det som en oplagt mulighed for at slippe væk hjemmefra, og hendes karriere i sexbranchen er for alvor begyndt. Efter et halvt år i Tyskland vender Louise hjem og flytter tilbage til København, hvor hun tager arbejde på skiftende bordeller.

Louise bliver gift og stifter familie. Men det går ikke helt efter planen, og snart er hun enlig mor og prostitueret på fuld tid. Udover at være tilknyttet de københavnske massageklinikker får hun en fast kunde, en udviklingshæmmet mand, som hun besøger en gang om måneden i hans hjem. Louise anholdes, sigtes og dømmes for underslæb, da politiet mener, hun har franarret manden et stort pengebeløb, og hun afsoner tre måneder i Vestre Fængsel. Hjemme venter hendes nye mand og tre sønner.

En dag under en turné rundt på forskellige bordeller i Danmark siger Louises krop og psyke pludselig stop. Hun beslutter at forlade sexbranchen, men det er ikke så lige til, og hun bliver nødt til at trappe ned, inden hun kan slippe den helt. Gennem sin mentor i exit-programmet New Hope bliver hun sendt videre til psykiater og får konstateret angst og posttraumatisk stress. Men langsomt, ved hjælp af samtalerne og kognitiv terapi, kommer hun i bedring. Ægteskabet er i krise, for pludselig er Louise hjemme hele tiden, og økonomien er stram. Men hun er stædig.

Louise har taget imod penge for seksuelle ydelser, siden hun var en lille pige. Dengang forgreb voksne mænd i morens omgangskreds sig på hende. Senere valgte hun selv prostitutionsvejen. Eller gjorde hun? Louise opsøger et exit-program og får tilknyttet en mentor, der skal hjælpe hende videre i livet. Men hvem er hun, hvis hun ikke er luder?
