Nach langen Regentagen freuen sich der kleine Dinosaurier Minus und sein Haustier, das Urzeitmädchen Lucy, endlich wieder vor der Höhle spielen zu können. Im Tal hat sich ein riesiger See gebildet. Minus' Freunde stürzen gleich ins kühle Nass. Und auch Lucy will plantschen, doch Minus erfindet ständig neue Ausreden. Aber dann verschwindet Lucy spurlos.

Der kleine Dinosaurier Minus geht gern in die Schule. Er mag seine Lehrerin, seine Mitschüler und das Fußballspielen auf dem Pausenhof. Wenn nur die Hausaufgaben nicht wären! Und besonders schlimm findet Minus Mathe. Als er eines Nachmittags wieder mal keine Ahnung hat, wie er die Aufgabe neun plus fünf lösen soll, beginnt sein Haustier, das Urzeitmädchen Lucy, den Kühlschrank auszuräumen. Dass das etwas mit der Matheaufgabe zu tun hat, ahnt Minus zunächst nicht...

Nur leider hat das kleine Urmädchen gegen die anderen Haustiere keine Chance - oder?

Minus Drei ist eigentlich sehr mutig. Ein paar Dinge gibt es allerdings, vor denen er Angst hat. Vor allem aber hat er Angst vor der Dunkelheit.
