వైద్య వృత్తి అంటే నే గౌరవప్రదమైన వృత్తి అంటారు అందరూ. ఎందరో వైద్యులు రోగులకు సేవలు చేస్తూ చిరస్ధాయి గా నిలిచిపోయిన ఘటనలు చాలా నే ఉన్నాయి. డా. సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం గారి దవాఖానా అనే కథ కూడా ఒక గొప్ప వైద్యుని గూర్చి అతను చేసిన సేవలు గూర్చి చెప్తుంది. ఈ కథ స్వయంగా ఈ కథ రాసిన రాజేంద్రగారి తండ్రిగారిది. ఈ కథ కూడా వంశీ కి నచ్చిన కథల్లో ఒకటి.

ఈ సమాజం లో ప్రతి విషయం మనం చూసే చూపు ని బట్టి ఉంటుంది. మనం ఎలా చూస్తే మనకి అలా కనపడుతుంది అనడం లో అతిశయోక్తి లేదు. ఆయా కోణం లో ఉద్యోగ వ్యవస్థని, కుటుంబ వ్యవస్థని, ఈ వ్యవస్థలోని మార్పులని, అవి మానవ సంబంధాల మీద ఎలా ఫలితం చూపుతున్నాయి అని చెప్పే కథ 'చూపు'. డా. ఎం హరికిషన్ రాసిన ఈ కథ వంశీ కి నచ్చిన కథలు సంకలనం లో ఒకటి.

వెన్నెల నీడ లో వాసంతి. ఇది వంశీ రాసిన కథల్లో ఒకటి. ప్రేమ అనే భావాన్నీ ఎంతో చాక్కగా వర్ణిస్తూ నచ్చిన అమ్మాయి సొగసు గురించి చెప్తూ ఒక ఆహ్లాదకరమైన భావనని పాఠకులకి అందిస్తుంది ఈ కథ. వంశీ రాసిన కథల్లో తనకి ఎంతగానో నచ్చిన కథ ఇది అని చెప్పుకున్నారు.

ఇంద్రగంటి హనుమచ్చాస్త్రి తన వెలుగు నీడలు కథ ద్వారా ఎంతో గొప్ప సందేశాన్ని తెలియజేసారు. ఈ కథ లో మంచి భావుకత, అదే విధంగా ఒక గొప్ప కథ దాగి ఉంది అని చెప్పడంలో ఎటువంటి అతిశయోక్తి లేదు. ఈ కథ లో ప్రధాన పాత్రల మధ్య అనుబంధం ఒక ప్రత్యేకత అని చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. ఈ కథ కూడా వంశీ కి నచ్చిన కథల్లో ఒకటి. వంశీ ప్రకారం ఈ కథ తన సంకలనం లో ఒక తరళ రత్నం.
