Am I the villain in a different coat of paint or just the bane of a corrupted empire? I wonder... Around age twenty-seven, they finally caught me off guard. As the youngest son of seven, children of the most powerful duke on the continent and archmage at that, the world expected us to fight over the throne. I tried to keep my distance. Rescind my role. Go about my merry way as people called me the trash of the Thunder family. After all, my magic wouldn’t work for some unknown reason. Well, it turned out distance wasn’t an option for me.

It seems like popularity and enemies in the empire are increasing much too fast... Seventh Thunder Lord, Chen Thunder, has undeniably left his mark on the empire. However, suspicions linger that there may be a mastermind behind the former Chosen One's attack. Could it be true? In a blink, I found myself in an unknown land, greeted by the textbox of an unfriendly system. It wanted me to become a great hero, save the world, win the love of the people and all that crap. But this new world already had a hero. Why should I bust my a-s, deal with dragons and the unknown, for people I didn't know? Let him deal with that. It's his job! So instead of being tempted by the system's nonsense, I chose a simple class. Potion maker. I wasn't interested in cultivating mana and defying the heavens, courting death, none of that crap.

Well, did you know that Kyushu is an F-ranked town? Neither did I, but had I known about this tidbit information, all of the unfortunate attacks would’ve made sense. I think. But the Lord Ruler truly is a douche canoe for leaving his people to fend for themselves. That’s not all. My shop’s ranking is E, embarrassing really, despite all of the hard work put into building it.

My place in this world slowly reveals itself to me. Unfortunately, I’m constantly reminded just how magicians truly screwed this place up. The Lord Ruler serves as one of the kingdom’s major problems, though there could be more to it. Tasks: rank up the shop and town, adapt to my ever-increasing strength, and hey, there are foes that are seriously strong out there. So many things happen in my growing tale this time around. Sit.
