Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-1899) was an evangelist, author, and publisher associated with the Holiness Movement. In How to Study the Bible, he discusses the reasons why Bible study is so important for Christians. Recognizing the differences between individuals, he offers a variety of different methods for doing so. There are sections on observation, interpretation and application of the texts and the author also offers the tools for understanding the difficult passages in the scriptures.

D L Moody (1837-1899) was a prominent 19th century evangelist who founded the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and Moody Publishers.
