In Act III, we follow Morpheus on a grand journey to take care of family business. He visits with his son Orpheus (Regé-Jean Page), an act that brings with it profound consequences. Accompanied by Delirium (Kristen Schaal), he tracks down their estranged brother, Destruction (David Harewood), the only member of the Endless ever to abandon their post. And at an inn at the intersection of all worlds, a group of travelers are forced together by a storm that threatens to destroy reality itself, with grave repercussions for Morpheus and the rest of the Endless. 

When The Sandman, also known as Lord Morpheus - the immortal king of dreams, stories and the imagination - is pulled from his realm and imprisoned on Earth by a nefarious cult, he languishes for decades before finally escaping. Once free, he must retrieve the three “tools” that will restore his power and help him to rebuild his dominion, which has deteriorated in his absence.

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey. Hoop and his associates uncover a nest of Xenomorphs, and hell takes on a new meaning. Quickly they discover that their only hope lies with the unlikeliest of saviors.... Ellen Ripley, the last human survivor of the salvage ship Nostromo.

Ellen Ripley finally returns to Earth, only to discover that LV-426 — where the crew of the Nostromo first came into contact with the deadly xenomorphs — has been renamed Acheron. Protected by Colonial Marines, the colonists seek to terraform the storm-swept planet against all the odds. But in the face of brutal living conditions and the daily struggles of a new world, there is humanity and hope.

Set 300 years after the events of Alien: Out of the Shadows and Alien: River of Pain, Alien: Sea of Sorrows deals with the rediscovery of dormant Xenomorphs (Aliens) in the abandoned mines of LV-178, the planetoid from Alien: Out of the Shadows, which has now been terraformed and renamed New Galveston. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation, reformed after the collapse of the United Systems Military, continue their unceasing efforts to weaponise the creatures.

The Sandman ha sido definida por la revista Los Angeles Times como “la mejor epopeya de la historia del cómic” y ha conseguido revolucionar el formato al adaptar su lúgubre universo literario de fantasía y horror para convertirse en un fenómeno cultural de talla mundial. Por fin ha llegado el momento: Audible y DC presentan The Sandman, la primera producción sonora del cómic superventas del New York Times, escrita por el afamado autor Neil Gaiman que además es coproductor ejecutivo de esta adaptación.

Ellen Ripley regresa a la Tierra sólo para descubrir que LV-426 (el lugar donde la tripulación de la Nostromo se encontró por primera vez con los letales xenomorfos) hasido rebautizada como Aqueronte. Protegidos por los Colonial Marines, los colonos pretenden transformar el planeta azotado por la tormenta. Pese a las brutales condiciones de vida y las luchas diarias en un nuevo mundo, hay humanidad y esperanza. Protégés par un régiment de Marines coloniaux, les colons essaient de terraformer la planète balayée par les tempêtes. Au-delà des conditions de vie extrêmes et des combats journaliers imposés par ce nouveau monde, l'espoir et l'humanité demeurent.
