Sembra addormentato l'uomo seduto a terra contro un ippocastano del viale, circondato da un marasma di foglie e rami spezzati dal nubifragio della notte precedente. Ma non dorme, è stato ucciso altrove, con ferocia, e spostato lì dove la pioggia ha lavato via ogni indizio. Agli agenti basta poco per riconoscere in quel corpo Riccardo Mazza, noto storico dell'arte e curatore di una mostra su trenta capolavori ritrovati inaugurata in pompa magna appena poche ore prima.
