Rob Young was shot twice during the 1989 Cleveland Elementary School shooting that occurred in Stockton, California. He was in first grade at the time. This incident was one of the very first “mass-school-shootings” that occurred in our country, and helped encourage him to want to become a police officer.Rob ended up fulfilling that dream, becoming a police officer at the age of 21.
