The dissolute Falstaff plans to seduce Mistress Ford and Mistress Page, two "Merry Wives of Windsor," there by gaining access to their husbands' wealth. The two women have the old rogue's measure, however, and Falstaff's plots lead only to his own humiliation. But the merry wives themselves fall prey to plotting as their plans to prevent Mistress Page's daughter Anne from marrying the young man she loves are frustrated in their turn.

Rupert's puppy Roly is so round and warm and soft and lovely that Rupert hasn't the heart to be stern with him when he bounces about and behaves badly. But one day Rupert and Roly have to spend the day with Great Aunt Ada. Here, they meet a parrot called Gordon and they both learn a trick or two! And surprise, surprise, Rupert enjoys his day and wants to pay another visit - because there are lots more interesting things to learn from his Great Aunt.
