Dr. Christina G. Hibbert is an award-winning, bestselling author, clinical psychologist, speaker, and singer-songwriter whose work focuses on women's mental health, grief and loss, trauma, self-worth, motherhood, and personal growth.

For more than 25 years, she has helped women and families navigate life's hardest experiences—and then she became the patient.

In 2019, at age 44, Christina was diagnosed with Stage 1 triple-negative breast cancer and learned she carried a BRCA1 genetic mutation. What followed included a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, surgical menopause, seventeen surgeries, and eventually a complex chronic illness journey involving hEDS, POTS, and MCAS.

That experience became the heart of her fourth book, Reluctant Warrior: A Memoir & Breast Cancer Emotional Survival Guide. Part memoir and part practical guide, it explores the emotional aftermath of cancer and chronic illness—the trauma, grief, identity changes, relationships, mental health challenges, and healing that can continue long after treatment ends—with twelve practical tools for healing the whole person.

Christina is also the author of This Is How We Grow, Who Am I Without You?, and 8 Keys to Mental Health Through Exercise. This Is How We Grow received a 2013 Independent Publisher Book Award (IPPY) Silver Medal for Best Non-Fiction E-Book and became a #1 Amazon bestseller in Grief & Loss.

Her work centers on a message she has taught throughout her career and lived in ways she never expected: we can do more than survive life's hardest experiences. We can heal, grow, and flourish.

Christina is the founder of the Arizona Postpartum Wellness Coalition and has spent decades advocating for women's & maternal mental and emotional health. She was named Arizona's Mother of the Year in 2018 and is the 2026 recipient of the Invisible Disabilities Association's Invisible No More® Perseverance Award.

As a speaker, Christina brings together her experience as both psychologist and patient, speaking to medical and mental health professionals, patients, survivors, caregivers, and those living with chronic illness about what it means to care for—and truly see—the whole person.

Christina ("Christi") lives in Flagstaff, Arizona, with her husband, OJ. They are the parents of six, she is Nana of one granddaughter now, and family remains at the center of her life.

Overcome. Become. Flourish.
