Thea Dueck is an established needlework designer and founder of The Victoria Sampler company, based in Sidney, British Columbia. For decades she has created counted-thread patterns that blend cross stitch with specialty stitches, beads, silks, and small sparkling details that make samplers feel like heirlooms. She has taught stitchers around the world through her patterns, kits, courses, newsletters, and online stitching sessions. Her work is known for clear instructions, elegant Victorian style, and a love of traditional sampler techniques brought into her modern designs. Thea loves reading, and walks the same seaside streets that inspired the fictional town in her stories. She began writing cozy mysteries as a natural extension of her design work, imagining the secrets, rivalries, and friendships that might hide behind the stitches. "Embroidered Evidence" is her first novel and the opening book in the Threadneedle Street Mysteries series, where needlework, romance and mystery are closely intertwined.
