Elizabeth Poliner is the author of a new novel, Spinning at the Edges. She previously published the novel As Close to Us as Breathing, which won the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize in Fiction and was a finalist for the Library of Virginia's People's Choice Award in Fiction and the Ribalow Prize. She has also published a novel-in-stories, Mutual Life & Casualty, and a collection of poems, What You Know In Your Hands. Her stories and poems have been published widely in literary magazines, including The Kenyon Review, The Sun, The Southern Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and other journals.
